Darkstalkers Resurrection is now available to download for $14.99/1200MSP (comming tomorrow in Europe). The game contains Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3 and some new feature like GGPO-enabled online gameplay.

Loved Darkstalkers, but I'm really hoping they take the SF4 engine/team and do a proper sequel!
That is not such a great idea, its better if they bring it back as a 2d high definition sprites art fighting game... Darkstalkers had a lot of animation frames maybe they could do it for next gen but it really would be better as 2d.

I really dislike the fact that any future for this great series is dependent on this "no better than emulation" effort but I may still pick it up.
If the series continues they should subcontract to Arc System Works for HD sprites, 3D would be lame for this.
If anything they are only re-releasing this game to test the market of consumers who actually show up and buy it in order to determine to the higher ups so that they can approve financing a sequel.
And be careful what you wish for, SF4 was horrible, SSF4AE, now that was much improved, hope they go next gen for Darkstalkers.
