Dawn of the Devs on Kickstarter

Dawn of the Devs on Kickstarter

Underdog Studios just announced the launch of the Kickstarter campaign of Danw of the Devs, a platformer featuring some of the most iconic devs of our time, or rather their digital lookalikes. Each character will have special abilities inspired by the games they have become famous for, which makes this project quite intriguing to say the least. The team is asking for $65,000 to be able to fund the game, with console versions planned if the final amount reaches $100,000. If you want more information and you want to check out the images and the Kickstarter trailer in HQ, follow us inside.

Features

• Puzzle, action and stealth in a 2D old school platformer!
• Team up and switch between characters, using their special abilities!
• Journey through a wicked world of gaming!
• An homage to all game developers and a nod to the game industry!
• Detailed 2D art and animations!

This looks looks epic, I mean EPIC!!! Amazing idea, beautiful art style, this is the first project on Kickstarter that I will support with my money. Parody on the gaming industry... I want to see that. ;)

Molyneuxs ability must be lying and exaggerating.

Could've included a female playable character just for the heck of it. Amy Hennig?

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @KORNdog: Still very different. More like Diablo but the "game feel" is not as polished. Systems are more well designed, but I have to give it to Diablo when it comes to fit and finish. (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @GriftGFX: like divinity? Better or worse? Might be one i dust off the xbox for. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX The economy is unique and will probably seem strange to new players.. but every system is cleverly tied together in PoE. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX And yes.. the passive skill tree is pretty insane. It has a healthy mix of rigid decision making in its passive tree and flexibility in the active skill system. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Path of Exile is an endlessly playable action RPG and Pillars of Eternity is a turn-based single player game w/ a party system. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX No they are not.. they are both RPGs and they both have isometric cameras but that's where the similarities end. (1 Hour ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz I always confuse the PoE abbreviation with Pillars of Eternity. Are they even the same type of game? (2 Hours ago)
