Today Deep Silver has released some images of one of the playable characters of Dead Island: Sam B. You can find his background story below.

A one-hit-wonder rap star of fading fame, Sam B was booked by the Royal Palms Resort Hotel to perform his well known song "Who do You Voodoo?" at a high profile hotel party. He gladly took the chance to play this gig.
Once strong, self-confident and proud, Sam B has had a troubled past and a history of drug and alcohol abuse, as his private life became caught in a haze of fake friends and bad advisors.

Trying to pick up the pieces and earn some extra cash, he suddenly finds himself surrounded by a whole lot of different problems...

HAHAHAHA, seriously, if those screens are anything to go by, then there are about 4 zombie models used over and over and over. and i thought dead rising was bad with the copy/paste enemies.

Yeah, it's like all the male zombies have the same face but different clothes. Hopefully something that will be adressed in teh final version :P

The skinning of the player character in pic 3 looks really awkward as well. Did they skin his head to the clavicle joint or something?

Also the name. Sam B? Is that intentional or did they just squeeze a horrible oun in there without noticing?

Not so much adressing the issue as throwing a random hypothesis out there but sure, i guess it could be an explanation. . . though i doubt it :)

Nothing more in the horizon.

A game without fame and glory. Only a trailer making hype in the fanboys of zombie game style community.

the big fuss about this when it was first announced all those years ago was the degrading nature of the faces - each face having several layers. I take it thats out of the window now?
