Dead Space screens

Dead Space screens

Electronic Arts adds two images for Dead Space and its spaceship shaken by horrific disturbances. The launch being planned somewhere in 2008 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, the game centers on a story where space engineer Isaac Clarke is called as backup on the USG Ishimura. I think the monsters could use a bit of originality.

I hope the pace, mood, atmosphere, sound makes this game unique and very cool, like the movie "Aliens" and the camera is like RE4, so its gonnabe very good in my book.

I want more gameplay, but time will tell when.

I read the big article in gameinformer and i didnt care. I watched the trailer and I still didnt care...Now I've seen these screens and once again I dont care.

The graphics look ok, the concept seems fine but there is just something about the game that is keeping me from having any interest at all but I cant place what it is.

Yeah I do, makes you see the character and the environment at the same time.
I remember when I "had" Halo 3 I went over the shoulder on the film editing just to see how it would look like.

Back to Dead Space, I do agree that the monsters needs a bit of originality, like Locusts from Gears or something.

looks like EA's art designers have been inspired by giger which isn't a bad thing.

Originalty? The monsters? I've never seen anything like them before!

There are only so many ways to make monsters. Since i'm assuming that the monsters are based on aliens using human bodies as hosts i think this looks quite adequate. How would you guys like the enemies to look if this isn't original enough? I like what i've seen of this game so far, and it most certainly is original enough to keep me interested.

And the big daddy thing, just because of the helmet? The helmet might share some similarities, but then again, that's where it ends too :P

i think a play on sexuality, like alien's curves, shiny surfaces, goop and extending parts would've done well.
bit different in a videogame at least.

About the game
