I like the idea of instinct for basic difficulties. I assumed, with all the talking, that Instinct is activated by a press of a button?

I've already given my praises to the demo, but I like the talk of improved or more "grey scale" AI. It was hilarious how even in Blood Money, everyone in the whole level ran to your position once you got spotted!

Need to see a walkthough of a level that actually looks like hitman. Either that or give us a demo so we can really see how open to approach this game supposedly is. Untill then i couldnt care less. Id honestly be more excited if they announce a half assed HD collection of all the past games.

He explained what the level was, your character is on the run. They are obviously including some more story driven levels. But at the end of the day it's Hitman, of course your going to be making hits and I'm sure those levels will represent what the series is known for.

The guy talked about AI, crowds. Use you head.

He also mentions that instinct mode will be abundant on easy, but on hard choices will have to be made, like "seeing the paths of enemies, or using agent 47's disguise powers" sorry, but that sounds fucking awful. And since when was disguising considered a limited use "power" if that is tied into the 'instinct' mode in any way it's an automatic no-sale for me. Sorry for expecting a hitman game when they announce a new "hitman". Seems we've got a slap-head jason bourne instead.

As i said, show me a REAL hitman level, then we'll talk.

I like this approach. Until now Hitman was a chess game. Cool but not for everyone. Character models were like pawns - I didn't saw human essence in them. The game mechanics were the most important element. Everything else was just a decoration.

Now killing feel more serious because characters for a change are more human. I understand why so many fans are disappointed but I think the reason is silly. This level, when Hitman is obviously on the run looks and feels just how such situation should. Remember the last mission in Hitman Contracts? It was the same situation and ITS SUCK. I think naturally you will have some mission-type levels but is that really what you want? Personally I like it when things are moving forward. It's about time to chase that bald mothefucker and do something about his dirty sins from the past.

Graphics are awesome and climatic. Heavy improvement. This x-ray scan isn't bad at all. It feels demonic. Everyone on the web is explaining that previous installments had radar-map as equivalent. There is a little truth in this statement. Previously I was walking around and checking how anyone moves out there before I decided to make a move. Now I can check that out without additional time consumption and penalty (these were main aspects why so many didn't liked this franchise).

So, please grow up. Isn't that obvious that in the first videos they'r showing some action and new mechanics for bigger audience? I'll bet that on hard difficulty game will punish you like it always did.

I think you're being very silly.

The disguise mechanic is linked to the instinct in how you can bluff your way past suspicious guards.

I loved the previous games and this game one looks like it's greatly refined & deepened all the mechanics.

My only worry is the length of the game.

Refined and deepened? I'd love to hear how? Looks simplified and noobified to me. Less a thinking mans game, more a game for idiots who want their hand holding.

It's a fine line to stradle between realistic AI and playable AI. I know of few people and fewer cops who wouldn't (especially during a crisis) screech loud enough to pucture air drums when pulled down from a ledge. But I guess this is what I'd call playable AI :).

It definitely look "refined", IMO, as in the control opens the game to handle it how you want, and if you watch the video the devs talk about the AI making the game very difficult without the instinct stuff. I love the "grey-scale" AI idea; hopefully it works like they say. There was also very little "action" in that vid, and the devs said you can play how you want.

By the way, the idea that fast moving, thinking-on-your feet play is stupid or "noobified" is ridiculous. It's a different kind of intelligence, but I guess some people need to sit and think out things longer than others. I bet even when the bullets start flying, you still won't be playing it like Gears. It sounds like the game will have many, many ways to approach a situation, and I have no problem with my character being as capable as possible. I bet if he just started shooting, it would have been a quicker vid :P

^
Definitely: if that was a real situation, 'ol 47 would never make it out of that place alive. He might sneak up on one guy, but after that...

1. Instinct mode replaces the map.
2. The instinct mode seems to go hand-in-hand with the new AI. Less trial-and-error.
3. No Instinct mode on the hardest difficulty.
4. Disguising is like covering your face, not anything related to using costumes.

Thank god they made the fiber wire kill a button, so fucking frustrating in the previous games. Lead to so many mistakes.
