i don't know what to make of this game so far, the first one wasn't that great. i guess i'll just wait for some reviews. this and grid suffer the same fate, they sound very promising at the start, and then fail to deliver. but then again, i'm a huge sim fan, and absolutely love the GT series.

btw, they're keeping the name as a tribute to him.

That's exactly how I feel about GRID and DIRT. They need to add some feeling of weight to the cars and ditch that damn central pivot crap to add a bit of camera swing when drifting through turns. Oh how I miss my Rallysport Challange 2...

I did love the part with the in car view with the dirt and water being splashed onto the windshield. I'll maintain some cautious optimism for this game just for that alone.

GT series is far from being good sim games. Good games yes, but not in simulation department.

Instead? That's just a stupid comment since Forza Motorsport is a Microsoft franchise while the Dirt series are developed by Codemasters...

Really looking forward to this game. I'm a little big worried that the game will be to diffrent from a "normal" rally game, but hopefully it's not. Graphic wise I think it will kick som serious ass, Codemasters really are masters when it comes to graphics..

Can I say Holy Crap here? That looked amazing. Those graphics are incredible. I never would have thought they would have come close to their target images they released with the announcement. But it just looks like they have achieved that target. Absolutely stunning. I have to be very careful now, but what I have seen, matches the detail of Crysis. Ofcourse you can't compare the games, but still...

Forza > DiRT imo, so how is it stupid again?

for one, they're completely and utterly different games.

Looks really good imo. I much prefer this kind of racing game to your run of the mill street racer, much more fun. Lokking forward to it.

Looks awesome :D

Amazed by how close they seem to be to those initial target renders

Dirt 1 had brutal driving physics it felt really bizarre.

Unlikely that this one will be different, but one can hope.

Looks really good, and now it doesn't look like a racing game post nuclear holocaust.

Wow, graphics are excellent! Damn sexy cockpitview!

They should give their artists a raise, and fire the people responsible for the physics...seriously. It's really a shame that a game, that great looking, will be ruined by poor driving mechanics...

Imo DIRT looked great, but felt like shit.
I have nothing against arcade racer, but the cornering was just horrific.
Waste of gfx...

Hope this one becomes just a little more realistic

Dang the visuals sure are great though, really hope the handling pans out.

Like Prey and Bioshock are different stories (tracks) and with different weapons (cars) and such?
Does it matter? Prey still > Bioshock, and Forza > Dirt.

Things doesnt have to be carbon copies to make comparisons valid.
If someone wants to claim that Sasha Grey > Bill Clinton, its in their full right to do so.

I do like the small touch of the figurine right bang in the middle of the cockpit...

About the game

What's up?
  • Tiz
Tiz @GriftGFX: I think MS were in full on panic mode because they wanted to add value to their box, so they showed everything. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Yeah they just need to actually implement some of that stuff. They're charting an interesting path. I feel like they showed this game off before they knew what it was. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz For instance, in Destiny, the whole point of getting loot is to get better equipped to do raids for better equipment to do raids for better equipment and sometimes Iron Banner. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @GriftGFX: It really depends how they approach it. If you can upgrade your ship, crew etc to navigate more dangerous parts of the sea then it will be a dangling carrot scenario. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz Also, like the Division you have to cash in the loot before people steal it for themselves. The Division ran into the problem of just allowing anyone in the instances. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX And like.. what's the purpose of the loot itself. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @GriftGFX: I feel like what the loot is will determine the way people play. Will there be the standard common to Legendary loot? Will some loot be harder to navigate to, if so, will it be worth it? (4 Hours ago)
