Page 1 2 >>Well not REALLY... but it's still plently annoying. Any big crash and the fps drops.. completely ruins the best aspect of this game.
Really seems a bit boring to me...
Haven't played the 360 version, but in my eyes, nothing has really changed, or do I oversee something...?
Didn't Codemasters say the PS3 version will have a little tuned optic and a better framerate??!!
Gruß,
Max
But then again people who play this and toca are a special breed. The un-enlightened, to put it mildly.
Unlike you (who were fooled by their next-gen smoothtalk) I knew that this was the UMPTEENTH POS in the same series from Codemasters and laughed at their empty promises. And again I did not have to regret.
In case anybody is wondering what the true rally racer of all time is, its Richard Burns Rally PS2/PC/Xbox1 until proven otherwise.
And as for Forza2, doing skilled and controlled powerslides with a mid or rear-engine car in that game is more rally than all the colins put together.
The part that RUINED the game for me was the use of the center Y axis for turning (through the middle of the car instead of the back). The cars/trucks/rigs always felt like they were on a Merry-Go- Round instead of a track. It wasn't that noticable on the early tracks- but when you got to the middle or so and the speed picked up... and the course got more twisted... WOW. It was really noticable and very uncomfortable. After playing Forza for a while before this came out- I couldn't stomach the control sceme.
Kethmach: Yep Colin has always had the center-axis turning. It's like the car has no wheels at all, like running the quake guy down a track without strafing.

For me- RalliSport Challenge was/is my favorite rally games. They're arcadey- but still a LOT better than this. And for the PS3 gamers out there (like me as well) Motorstorm- despite is limited track variety- is 100x better than DiRT. Graphics, Physics, Challenge, AI and most importantly FUN.
and to voodoocream "In rally, cars slide from the middle..." is absolutely not true. It's not physically possible for a vehicle to rotate from a center axis with it's turning wheels located in the front of the car. It's not possible. Period. It doesn't matter if a car has four wheels- ten wheels... it doesn't matter if it's Front wheel drive or Rear wheel drive or All wheel drive- a car moves forward and a car turns from the front tires guiding it in a new direction- thus the car does not- CAN NOT pivot from the center. Can't happen.
Calling games crap based on a single pixel in the wrong place and just being obnoxious in general was the standard until it became gamersyde, now fanboyism is rampant and every "debate" is just filled with irrational hate and idiocy and it's a shame since this is a really good site with alot of potential, my advice to whoever is in charge of this site is to have a massive purge i other words ban like crazy and try to have a zero tolerance policy against fanboys and similar scum that just spew senseless rubbish without having anything of value to say.

does anyone on here know why this screen tearing happens is it something to do with the screen resolution ? and how would they have been able to fix this problem anyway ?
As I stated earlier; This is NOT, and I repeat, NOT the PS3 version!
