DOA4: The ultimate losers fight

DOA4: The ultimate losers fight

After X05 where I filmed a fight between two chief editors of french gaming magazine, I now offer you the first round of the fight between Snoopers on the left, and me on the right. Yeah he's awful, and I'm even worse. Ho well, at least these videos have direct feed (but mono) sound :)

The textures in the enviroments are amazing. I cant believe people think this game doesnt look next-gen.

It is Next-Gen!
It's not what Next-Gen was expected to be, or what "I" believe it should be.

Any pictures of Alpha-152? I wanna know this mysterious female boss. Christie is hot in that vid ;P.

wow, did I spot a massive 4 hit combo in there?
Just joking guys, great vid!
I can see the watching/tv aspect of these games on live making great viewing.

I thought ultimate losers was some kind of anti-french joke.

Yes, the textures are better and it looks a bit nicer overall...but DOA3 raised the bar so high and then Ninja Gaiden raised it even higher.

...I was blown away by DOA3 when it first came out. (I got it at launch) But, while this does look better, it's just not as big a jump as DOA2 and DOA3.

With more time Team Ninja could've done alot more with the characters (yes, even within the particular "art style.")

I'd like a fighting game at launch....but this just doesn't QUITE wow me as much. I'll probably get it when the price goes down.

well, if you've seen the cgi-trailer they've shown sometimes around E3-time you can see that they could do alot with that "art style". note: i said COULD.

I dont think so. I just dont see how they could make the game look better without changing the art style. Comparing it with the CGI is just stupid those short movies take months to create, 360 could never do CGI quality graphics in real-time.

Block it works. :O)

Elliot, ALPHA-152, Spartan-458, Genra, Raidou, or Tengu. Kokoro.

I love Christie's costume.

They must have used tape.

Hot.

I gotta say--I highly disagree. There are a few things that are technically just out of reach in those videos; but it's only a few; and we'll get there relatively soon..hell perhaps this gen; or at the very least within the next few major cycles of GPU's on the PC...Team Ninja can push this art style a lot further, and frankly I hope they do in the future.

DOA4 looks pretty nice though.

This game looks good definatley not disapointing. Im not sure I will buy it though. I dont want to spend to much money on launch titles im only plaining on getting 3 launch games. ( games released befor january 1) and Im pretty much decided on PGR3, NBA2k6, and COD2 or Kameo.
Commented on 2005-11-07 02:14:08
huh..i dont get it, whoever is playing aint hardly bad. The backgrounds dont look that great IMO..compared to DOA3, this game looks good but could look SO much better. I prefer the wrestler chicks outfit and the way she bounces around only makes it better! Maybe other people do as well because it seems like in every DOA4 preview someone is playing with her.

I really don't see why they couldn't add self-shadowing. That is the one major drawback to the graphics.

You rock hard Blim.=) I must ask you. Is it really that fast as people say it is?

Tiz Halo is a lot more dependent on individual skill which makes gunfights more intense and Overwatch is far more dependent on team synergy. (3 Hours ago)

Tiz As someone who has a fair amount of hours in both Halo & Overwatch, I'd say they both scratch different itches, but Overwatch has the broader appeal. (4 Hours ago)
