These are terrible screens...the game looks impressive in motion and these are a very poor represenation of that...

I think after playing Skyrim, this game will feel so incomplete, but I could be wrong.

So you mean it will actually be fun to use the weapons? :P

haters gonna hate. Combat is fine in skyrim, maybe you just need to practice more.

Of course we are haters, we DO hate the combat, and its not "practice" issue at all because there is nothing to practice for lol

Unless you mean practice our minds to accept such a silly combat? I dont need to when better games do it better :P

This looks pretty terrible and, in comparison to Skyrim, unbelievably generic.

Why are you comparing this to Skyrim? Both games are going for different types interms of exploring. One is suppose to be open world other one is suppose to be more linear and more focused on action (even Capcom said this).
Its like me comparing Battlefield 3 to Gears of War 3, sounds silly.

If anything this should be compared to a game like Kingdoms of Amalur considering both are very combat heavy titles with RPG elements. Both have big levels to explore, but its not just one huge world, its more "zone based"...I am guessing.

But yeah, interms of look, it looks quite generic for sure, kind of like traditional medieval look to it.

I was only talking about the looks... hence why I said 'looks'. :P

The gameplay seems to be pretty poor as well though.

Looks is meh, but this is what you get when Japan tries to make something to attract westernerns, they should stop doing that.

Gameplay, I am skeptical about. Some parts look good, some parts are...not good lol.
One of the bad parts is when you hit a enemy, sometimes there is that milisecond freeze, I hate that very much. Was also in Lords of Shadow, Dantes Inferno and God of War 3, its really annoying.

But, to have a action combat mindset with RPG elements, I am all for it...like War in the North, Witcher 2 and Kingdoms of Amalur.

not sure why people love skyrim so much .. tried it and got bored quick ... this may be the same ... hard to impress a lot of people in general these days

Hardcore RPG fans love Skyrim, some may some may not.

I come from a action game background like NG...etc. so I want a good combat system (not in similair but the core satistfaction anyways) to be there with RPG elements.

Capcom said themselves that they focus more on the action and combat in this game than what Skyrim does, and it shows.

amerakindesi @Sdarts: if you like the game then by all means enjoy it, but keep an open mind and stay critical at the least (29 minutes ago)
  • amerakindesi
amerakindesi Btw life is strange i did try to enjoy, but out of approx 4 hour episodes, 3 hours is pointless crap & i will deny every notion that tells me im "playing it wrong" (32 minutes ago)

amerakindesi @GriftGFX: exactly why i havent started got or borderlands by telltale yet, waiting for season completion (34 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog these things need a "continuous play" option or something. (49 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog then again i find that true for box sets though. i don't need opening and closing credits after every episode when i'm doing a marathon session. (50 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @GriftGFX: i usually do the same. i find it odd that they still break up the experience though. i'd rather it just be continuous if you buy a full "season" (51 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Tempted to break tradition for King's Quest though. I really want to play that. (51 minutes ago)
