The creators of Guacamelee! have revealed their new game, Severed, slated to release in Spring 2015, no pltaforms announced yet (touch-screen seems to be involved here). In this first-person dungeon crawleresque adventure, players control a heroine lost in a surreal, non-linear world. It features gesture-based combat mechanic, autonomy over upgrade paths, and a soundtrack from Yamantaka / Sonic Titan. Concept trailer and images after the jump.

i'm kinda hoping for something more futuristic. something a bit more creative. mechs instead of tanks, hover bikes, jet packs etc. (26 minutes ago)

@GriftGFX: should they go back to a more modern era, or does that matter? (41 minutes ago)
