man, another game for october...that's like 5 or 6 i'll be buying. why do devs/publishers do this. do they not realise the heavy competition in a single month means people prioritise what they buy (except me evidently)

clearly those rumours of PS4 was gonna be online only before MS hate is true, since this game screams constant connection needed. they are having to change the whole structure of the game. no other reason for a almost year delay when it was playable at every convention before release

other then, you know. making it not shit, which it sure as hell looked when it was demo'd at conferences. forza maybe should have taken a page out of evolutions book in that regard?

Forza 5 is epic, By far the best sim weve ever had on consoles...What do you not like about it?

Eh nope, Yoshida confirmed that the PS4 console could be played offline on 20th February 2013. How is it so impossible for people to accept this when it is staring them in the face over a year now?

If you don't agree with fact, could you explain what you are talking about then?

I can guess a few points. Less content than previous games in the series, the game economy/monetization (which even they had to fold and admit was bad, and patched in an attempt to address the criticisms).

Honestly, it basically felt like "Forza 4 Xbox One edition with fewer tracks and cars and crappier game economy" rather than "Forza 5

The game definitely could've used more time in development, if only to add more tracks and content. I'm hoping Forza 6 will at least show a significant jump. Like adding in a day/night cycle + weather effects, a good amount of new tracks/cars and not going after microtransactions and effecting the game negatively.

Whoever came up with the idea to rent cars in "free" play mode is a jackass.

man, i managed to respond without even touching my keyboard. perfectly said. forza 5 really should have looked better then it did, and had more content and features then it did. a year of extra time might have achieved that? we might have at the very least had the much requested day/night cycle.

Hmmm....Dont know what game your playing but it's plays vastly different from Forza 4. Physics are on another level that weve never seen on consoles.

Surly every game could use more dev time? GT5 for instance took 6 years when in actual fact it really could of been doing with 8 at least.

It's funny after all that, you don't comment on the points that were actually being said in the post. All you go for is "gameplay felt different". I didn't even once talk about the gameplay.

As i said every game could do with more development time...I dont really see why Forza was brought into this other than to troll. Plenty of Forza articles to go into on here...

I hope Evo can pull Driveclub off...im a little worried they are aiming for the casual market rather than racers.

There is a difference between "this game has tons of content and of course could be more awesome with more development time" and "this game feels rushed and could've used more development time". Forza 5 falls in the latter category for me, especially after Forza 3 and 4. You feel differently, and that's fine. Everyone has their opinion, they are not trolling a game just because they have a different opinion than you.

The reason Forza got brought up is because it and DriveClub were initially supposed to be launch titles and both are car games. One got delayed for more development, the other was released (and felt rushed due to some of the reason I stated imo).

Anyways, DriveClub is going for a more PGR-like feel (sim-arcade hybrid), which I loved. So yeah, it's geared a little more towards the casuals compared to the crowd that Forza and Gran Turismo go for, but it's not going full-arcade either, it's more towards the sim side on the scale. I hope they get the gameplay just right.

By what they've revealed already, and the fact that there are no previous entries in the franchise, I think I'm going to be satisfied with the game content-wise already. All locations are new, all cars are new, it has a dynamic day/night cycle. So pretty much the only thing I'm really concerned with for this game is the gameplay.

Watched the trailer on yt. Not too exciting trailer but nice gfx.

Yea, graphics are really breath-taking. It's one of those trailers you do want to see twice just to believe it. There's not many trailers that did that to me tbh. Watch Dogs 2012 did it but... that doesn't belong here in this thread.

Did the game got improved since? If so, who really cares about not being released on the system day one? Its not like a "Sony masterpiece" that everybody was waiting to buy the system for.

You underestimate the amount of people that want an amazing racer to play on PS4.

We got one. It was called need for speed.

The people that want an "amazing racer" on PS4 will have to wait beyond this DC anyway. It will come tho.

PCars will be the best racer the PS brand has ever had...Thats not to say DC might actually be amazing...WRC by Evo was great so that defo gives hope.
