Lol. Do people play these games for the story? It's badly voice acted, badly written crap. Just hack zombies up in co-op! That's all you really need.

Didn't this come with graphical improvements too?

I beg to differ. the lead character's voice actor did a perfect job. actually his voice acting was the only noticeably good thing about the story missions.
if you have not played the game.. it is a must. I used to think it was the same old idea waiting to be fed to the same audience. but I came away impressed. it is aesthetically beautiful.. also one one the best intros ..a bit of deja vu actually.. reminded me of the original Crysis

i'd argue last of us would be a much worse game if it's story wasn't so compelling and well acted. and i know for a fact people play telltale games...so yes?

Telltale games, Life is strange, the old LucasArts and Sierra titles plus many many more.

Lets face it 1 game in 100 has a decent story, I certainly dont play games for thier story telling abilities.

There is a huge spectrum between decent and shit though. And lets face it. Dying light was shit. Which makes it weird they're even bothering trying to promote that aspect of it.

A game story doesn't even have to be decent to be entertaining. Until Dawn's story is so bad that it's good.

That's self aware though. Its based on campy teen slasher films. Games like dead island and dying light are trying to offer something good...PERIOD. And they fail. Its like just cause. You don't advertise it's plot do you. You advertise that you blow shit up and solve all objectives with explosives.

Seeing a story trailer for dying light is the equivilent of seeing a narrative focused porn trailer. Lol

It was really bad so bad it was good in the middle then even worse at the end. Honestly i hated that game at the start liked it in the middle and near the end i was desperate for it to be over.

Game would of been so much better had it not been aimed at 12-15 year olds.

I second and minute that statement!

About the game

What's up?
  • Tinks
Tinks I didn't understand why he played so poorly either though. Subasic has been amazing the rest of the tourney. A big reason they won against Denmark and Russia (7 Hours ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks @MrWhite: I agree. Penalty like that shouldn't happen in a WC final. Croatia's keeper was screened for almost all of those goals, aside from the deflection (7 Hours ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus @Melmoth: oh god, that is amazing. the sounds and visuals are insane for a sim. (7 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @droezelke: For both them? Mbapp was 20 odd yards out. His positioning was shite. Should never have let that one past him. (8 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke If FIFA didn't object so long to get a VAR, the concept could have been bug-fixed 10 years ago. (9 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Tinks: The VAR is an exvellent tool, but the rules applied to the VAR are restricting them from intervening. Also, the hands-rule is so ill defined that it's completely open to interpretation. (9 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke Then the shot came and as he tried to correct to the right, he was leaning on the wrong leg and went out of balance. (9 Hours ago)
