Trailer Xbox 360 PS3

Here comes another E3 trailer two days before the opening of the event. This time, it's Tekken 6, new episode of the famous franchise which gives the finger to the good taste. But here, we're glad this trailer is already available, so we won't have to talk about it when real interesting things will arrive.

I really don't know about this. Tekken just seems to have been left in the dust by all the other franchises.

Looks great to me. Totally a day 1 purchase. I just hope they have better net code for this than DR, cause that just doesn't work well for me.

Tbh it feels like they owe it to us console gamers after 2 years of delaying the release. Besides we've seen stuff like Tekken Force mode in tekken 3 and that platformer thing (that was just terrible) in tekken 5, so this is no surprise to me :)

i used to love fighting games, but it seems to me this genre has no evolution in it at all. It sure looks nice, but to me this is the same game as the very first games. Same shit, different package.

Just shows how uninformed you are. Then again, i can see why it'd seem like that unless you actually understand what a fighter is actually about.

Well, that's a positive remark right there. If i'm so uninformed, maybe you can enlighten me? What's so new about Tekken VI compared to the previous ones?

For one every character is rebalanced (changed, added and removed moves), they've added the rage mode, also they've incorporated bounce in combos. There are 4 new characters to play as well. To someone who just plays casually this might not be a big deal but if you are actually interested in the subtleties of the game for real then these are huge changes. Not to mention how Tekken 1 and 2 were actually 2d in gameplay, so there's some evolution right there ;)

Edit: I didn't mean to be a dick, it's just the truth (i assume you wouldn't say something like that if you really understood the genre).

I'll probably get some hate for this...but this kind of looks like an updated The Bouncer DOA hybrid. Which for me, is a good thing! Honestly, they either need to nail down a fun story mode, or streamline their combat...both would be sweet, but, I don't want to be too let down.

hmm, the other "roaming" mode looks utter toss and pointless, the main fighting looks to be pretty decent, and we can so tell how the people at gamersyde are hyped for this game >_>.....*cough* =D.

Seriously though I can see why the staff of gamersyde and romeolives aren't all that interested, but it looks to be decent so I will probs eventually pick it up.

looks dope as hell other then the stupid orange clouds that appear when someone gets hit why are they still ruining the graphics with this?

...wha? Look, if you play a fighter as a single player experience you are doing it wrong. Fighting games, and i mean all fighting games, are about the vs game. So far as i'm concerned the only modes needed in a game like Tekken is Arcade for some practice matches, VS which is the core of the game, Practice mode for nailing combos and stuff and an online mode as playing someone locally isn't always an option. I mean, criticizing a fighter for lacking in single player content is like ripping on chess for being sucky for one player :P

This however seems to be a point that many gamers miss totally.

What was seen in this trailer (the brawler looking thing a la tekken force) is just some extra mode thrown in there for the fans, not the main game.

Also what do you mean by streamlining the combat? Do you find it too complex? :)

Well it is a staple of the series, i guess they are keeping it for the fans. Personally i wouldn't cry if they removed it but it doesn't bother me much either.

On a side note, is anyone here actually an active tekken player?
