That footage looks like the Xbox 360 version judging by the replay buttons at the end. Or it could be the PC version with a wireless Xbox 360 controller I suppose. Whatever, the game looks fantastic and I only saw very minor tearing in the entire video. The engine the game runs on is excellent.

Right, because the rally racing in the past GT games was so outstanding... I don't get how in every racing game thread, the GT nutjobs gotta say how awesome GT5 is. Are you guys Polyphony Digital PR employees? I may be in the minority, but I think Gran Tourisimo is hyper overrated. It seems to me like that games graphics are all people care about- cuz if it was gameplay, Forza would be the clear winner, IMO( not counting PC sim racers, but I don't ever like to get THAT in depth)...

Of course it is. All-wheel turning is the shit. They should include a tank in the game for good measure.

what a crappy game this is. If just someone other than Codemasters made a rally game, it would be infinitely better. Like Richard Burns rally.

Agreed! I bought GT on my ps and ps2 and enjoyed them, but it is definetely overrated. And NOT because it was lacking damage modeling.

@ raikke- You can tell from the video it doesn't appear to be quite as bad as the first one for that, but we'll just have to wait for the demo to judge for ourselves.

I agree, but that's just all the Sony fanboys. I would bet a TON of money that half the people praising GT games don't even play them that much, they just feel the childish need to defend and hype anything Sony.

As for Dirt 2, this game looks very outstanding and if the gameplay is polished as well this could be up there with Forza 3 and GT5 on my must have racer list (which is getting pretty big this year).

Its all about gfx nowadays, so of course people love GT.
I mean I'm even hyped a little for DIRT2 althuogh I found that DIRT1 was utter crap. Have to wait for the demo to make the hype vanish. :P

They would be clever if they wouldn't release a demo.

Agree.. Its just another mediocre pretend-hardcore racing game.
Imo Forza, and Dirt, by far surpasses it in every regard. Especially in the fun factor.
Remember games are about having fun. You will NEVER get a 100% sim racer without actually getting in a car in real life.

Don't be so ridiculous. If you want the proper WRC experience, nothing touches McCrae when it's on form, and judging from these videos, it's looking to be doing just that. GT's Rally parts, as fun as they are, are NO comparison.
