CCP Studios have released new assets for Dust 514, the console-based hybrid MMO/FPS. The title will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3.

reminded me of a slightly clunky version of killzone. intrigued, but not sold. definately ambitious tho. but it could end up to be a bit of a "haze"

Because Microsoft wouldn't allow the connectivity between this game and Eve online, but Sony would.

yup, MS's network is very closed, it's why we havnt seen any of the previously planned MMO's on the 360

What do you mean? Sony usually offers dedicated servers for it's games, hence why the PSN is much less laggy than it's competitors when it comes to exclusives.

lmao troll harder mate, and i am looking foward to how this will work, i used to play eve quite alot back in the day, and i heard rumours you get highered by eve players to conquer planets within eves universe, will be good see how this all unfolds, and if there is like huge player leveling system and customisation

I wont lie, I like the universe, heavy sci fi is always welcome IMO.
But something with the shooting was...weird to me.

It's the type of game that has tons of potential but usually falls flat. I thought it was the most interesting part of Sony's presentation, besides starhawk. the gunplay looks iffy but the idea behind the game has a lot of promise IMO.

I really hope they do this one right. Any word on a monthly fee?

I want to like it as an SF fan but it looked pretty rough at this point, the idea is ambitious and could be very cool if the pull it off though.

have to agree, they should have gone ps3/xbox/pc that way they could assure it catches on and has a constant playerbase, only ps3 .. seriously?

its not monthly fee its microtransactions, you can buy packs of guns / different ammos etc,, they havent specified what but that it will be funded via microtransactions, probably blueprints etc, and if we know CCP there will be a way to "play for free" or fundit via ingame currency.

Well the zooming part was cool but the gameplay was unimpressive. Maybe it's in the alpha stage.
Only ps3. Not cool. I'd much rather have it for the PC if I ended up being interested.
