E3: Enslaved gameplay

E3: Enslaved gameplay

Enslaved is playable for the first time at E3, and we of course had to do some video. What a pleasure to see colors in an action game!

It looks pretty cool, but i hate Monkey's design. Surely these guys could come up with something better.

I am interested to say the least.
I know that the cutscenes and the motion capture will be fantastic considering these guys made Heavenly Sword.

Heavenly sword is phenomenal for facial motion capture the one reason why I love it and regard it as my fave ps3 launch title. The faces were so full of life and made the "acting" sensational. Course facial motion capture has got better since (namely with the sony titles) so it'd be great to see what these guys can come out with.

I have the feeling that the combat system isn't that great... but I have great expectations for this game.

it all depends if they still have WETA on board for the cutscenes. it was only becasue they used film quality facial capture that the cutscenes in heavenly sword where so good, if WETA are out of the loop with this game (probably unlikely seeing as andy serkis is still involved) then chances are the facial animations wont be anywhere near as nice.

they already dont look quite up to par with heavenly sword imo. still better then majority of games tho.

THe main caracter has no personality, the enemies even less. The textures looks great but I see a lot of aliasing, because the video? I don't know.

my expectations lie in the story, to few games have had a memorable experience/ story it would be nice to increase that count to 3 :).

Isn't it exclusive for PS3 ? Or am I wrong !?

Wrong.

:o)

I may also be wrong, but I think Namco/Bandai bought them out from under Sony's wing, hence why this is multiplatform.

PS3 and 360

It is not exclusive :)

the faces look pretty good, and the guy has a pretty good expression (compared to other games) but the girl has always this frighten look but i'm in for now.

It was being played on the Xbox 360. Look when it says to open the command menu, the button it shows to do so is the 360's LB.

Melmoth problem with such platforms is they will only work with software where they can extract motion data, and having no standards there, they have build support for each individual game. (2 Hours ago)

MrWhite It's a strange thing. I reckon being tossed around physically like that would help with certain sims, though. If not, yeah, you're projectile vomiting all over the gaff. LOL that would be hilarious. (3 Hours ago)

MrWhite @MrWhite: I mean, part of the problem I've experienced is when you move without moving. I can feel my head go "Whoa! What's going on here?! I didn't send the signal to move!" (3 Hours ago)

MrWhite @GriftGFX: Locomotion. Wouldn't that help making your mind believe what its seeing a bit more for motion sickness? (3 Hours ago)
