Why can they get their lighting all nice looking in these promotional shots, but then the actual game looks all cartoony, like hot wheels?

I agree. Maybe it's all the filters, excessive bloom effects and light flares?
It's almost like they try so hard to make it look real that it ends up looking surreal.

I'm sure it'll be a fun game though.

Easily one of the best looking games at E3. The biggest reason by far I'm so tempted to buy both consoles at launch rather than just the PS4
