E3: Frontlines - Fuels of War images

THQ also released these five images from Frontlines: Fuels of War, which looks pretty good.

Crisp textures and shadows but BF2MC kinda looks better.

I don't know if I agree with the BF2MC comparison. While I enjoyed the demo BF2MC's textures are VERY washed out and in the end all of the locations end up looking very dull and very similar. The textures from the shots above are a lot brighter and vivid, while the calibre of the graphics (polygon counts, trees, etc) may not be as nice as BF2MC the graphics here look a lot better IMO.

This game is from the people who made the Desert Combat Mod for Battlefield 1942

The full game of BF2MC is VERY nice indeed, the effects are outstanding and the parallax mapping on bullet holes and explosions are better than FEAR.

I mean Call of Duty 3 really looks like a must-have to me if they can keep up the pace, but aren't there enough WW-Games out there already?

<sigh>

About the game

What's up?
  • Melmoth
Melmoth problem with such platforms is they will only work with software where they can extract motion data, and having no standards there, they have build support for each individual game. (25 minutes ago)

Melmoth @MrWhite: gotta untwist those cords (27 minutes ago)

MrWhite What I want to know is, what if the game glitches? (45 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite It's a strange thing. I reckon being tossed around physically like that would help with certain sims, though. If not, yeah, you're projectile vomiting all over the gaff. LOL that would be hilarious. (46 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @MrWhite: I mean, part of the problem I've experienced is when you move without moving. I can feel my head go "Whoa! What's going on here?! I didn't send the signal to move!" (47 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @GriftGFX: Locomotion. Wouldn't that help making your mind believe what its seeing a bit more for motion sickness? (49 minutes ago)

rayy @alimokrane: Sometimes I think you care more about the viewpoint than if the game is fun lol. (1 Hour ago)
