Alan Wake looks awesome, and if it is anything up to the standards of Remedy's past games, it is certainly a day one purchase.
is it exclusive for xbox or will there be a pc version as announced at the very beginning ?
After seeing some actual gameplay...I still don't know why people are so excited.
I remember being impressed with the earliest footage of the game...despite not really knowing what the game was about. But then year after year, I became less interested, and I couldn't help but wonder why other people were so jazzed.

Alan Wake is more like a slower paced Resident Evil, in my observations.
I love how the flashlight burns the enemies, and how the flare did the same, god that was some amazing lighting effects.. So many games have great graphics but mediocre lighting effects, but this game really feels warm :)
Great colors, great lighting.
I certainly hope it's good, but I can't help but get an Alone in the Dark vibe from it. Also, monsters disintegrating like that is lame.
Game of the year........what ever year it comes out!

Alan Wake allows you full contol, and is supposed to offer an open world for you to progress the story in. Including dynamic weather. So when you consider the visuals are pretty much on par with heavy rains thats quite impressive
