Our guys over on the showfloor just came back with this great looking, and quite well played, video of the multiplayer part of Medal of Honor. The beta test starts in 3 days!
It looks pretty..but i'm disappointed theres no destruction. I expected it more arcade than BBC but i also expected Dice to use their engine to full effect

I think it's interesting that DICE is taking on MW--because I hope they beat 'em at their own game. Everyone likes to hate on MW, but that wasn't the case when they were selling 14 million copies. Godspeed, DICE/EA, may you rise to the heights of MW at its best and exceed it at its worst.
Its obvious that EA are just trying to cash in on the Modern Warfare success. I'm not saying this game will be bad but to me it looks nigh on identical and doesn't look like it advances the FPS genre in anyway. But I'll be patient, I bet it sells well though.

It feels more like a throwback to Call of Duty 4, only more conservative. It's slightly less run and gun, but very much more so than Bad Company 2.
Not bad, really, despite bad first impressions, but I still think COD4 and BC2 are both better games in different ways. I'm still impressed with how much they've managed to differentiate this game from Bad Company. Of course it doesn't advance the genre, but how many games really do that? You don't need to be a breakthrough to be a good game, do you? My biggest problem with MoH is that it continues the tradition of "Streamlined" console shooters, which is just a polite way of saying dumbed down. It's in good company though.

Depends how much life it has in it really, but I'm not sure it'll have legs, going by the beta. I played BF2 for years, COD4 for more than a year, still play both (and TF2 and Halo) to varying degrees more casually to this day. But like I said, I'm not sure I have much faith in this game. I'm also pretty disappointed that this is the game that EA decided to use to bump PC prices to $60.. it's a tough sell.

Game is worthless...single player might be good but the multi player sucks. Game is really well optimized on PC though, runs at 60 FPS locked with everything on high and 8X AA with 16X AF

Yup. Not very good, and a ham-fisted console port. The only reason it's so well optimized (compared to Bad Company) is because it lacks destruction 2.0.

Where did you get that from? Of course it has crouching and sprinting. No prone though. Noobs rejoice.
Still.. not very good. I'm canceling my pre-order. DICE needs to deliver a real game soon. EA is working them to death on four to five titles at a time as the fate of the real Battlefield suffers.
No more console ports for me (from DICE) until they do a proper PC Battlefield game. I'll buy Vietnam though!
