E3: Gears of War 3 new screens

this looked really visually impressive. I hope they go all out with it..as it's surely the last Gears game to hit the 360..or atleast the last push for the U3 engine from Epic

another cool looking game for 360 gamers, and i like the idea of woman in it this time for the girls, as there are alot that play games out there, 4 player co-op is def win for any 360 gamer

The lighting and added effects really have made a huge jump in the look of this game. Gears two looked great, but this just looked stunning at E3.

Any word yet on that "beast mode"? I just wanna hear more about Horde mode, should be even more fun w/ the new monster types they are using.

Waaay too busy, it's a mess.

I thought this looked boring as hell tbh, I'm sure there are better more demo worthy sections in the game than the repetetive underground tentacle attacks that they showed at Micro$oft's press conference.

I must say, the detailing is incredible. Defo a series I've enjoyed (although dislike gears 2 mp) and I shall defo be picking up this game. Enjoyed Jacinto's Remnant and overall the graphics are very nice indeed.

I tried and got bored with GOW1 30 minutes in, never gave GOW2 a chance, but now that GOW isn't a sausagefest it looks like I'll give the series one more try! =P

Why? He's right..

GoW3 doesn't look much better then GoW2 (if any), which indicates that they can't get anymore out of the current hardware (not a surprise since it's 5 years old now).. Only new consoles with uptodate more powerfull hardware will allow much better looking games again..

That's not saying GoW3 looks bad or anything, it still looks pretty damn nice.. But that's also because games with highend graphics using the latest tech aren't really made anymore now that everything is multiplatform.. The days of PC exclusive games pushing hardware are over (Crysis was the last)..

I disagree. Go play a bunch of different games. Sure, some are better looking, but from what I've seen of Gears 3, it's easily above average...as most top-tier games tend to be.

It indicates they can't get anymore out of their engine on the hardware. Not that the hardware has been pushed to their limits.

Yeah, I hate incredible levels of detail in my games. It is a bit busy, but it doesn't get lost in the background. I have no difficulty telling what's going on so- not bad design, IMO. The $ in Micosoft tells us all exactly what we need to know...
The Gears series is awesome, and this absolutely does up the ante visually( lighting and shaders are much better, as well as it appears to finally get rid of the weird depth of field). The enemies look to be even MORE varied than ever and We have barely seen anything for it. I just got done playing through Gears 2 again and it was still great. The visuals in the second are still above average by a margin and this one looks better( it's all in the little things)...

what the? is that blonde chick anya? she fightin too? damm i need a 360. why isnt this multiplatform damm? this series is the only reason i would buy a 360 because its the only good exclusive M$ have to offer.
