You know, I was so sceptical of this a few weeks back. I still die-hard loved H2 MP online for years - Reach being a massive disappointment for me in regards to MP alone.
This. This looks amazing. I am starting to believe 343 will make Halo better than what even Bungie could make it. The MP section just looks unreal, although I will still miss the 1-50 levelling system. That was addictive.

I guess I need to play it myself to judge but I am actually worried that they made the shields too weak in mp. From what I have seen so far, I found that you die too quick from AR.
Its kind of funny, the Armour is supposed to become stronger by its upgrades, but instead they made it weaker throughout each new Halo...

Well I can barely remember playing Halo 3 online it has been so long and as for Reach I may give it another go to tide me over for now. I think I know what you mean though. Personally I'm just thankful it still isn't Call of Duty's system where it is to sprint and hope you see the enemy before they see you. At least with Halo you can be skillful enough to find a way to kill them even if they shoot you first.
I use the word skill loosely there though lol.
I wonder if the armour upgrades will force them to matchmake you with people of similar armour and weapon levels? Obviously there is room for some variation with some people specialising in armour and others weapons but how much of a huge deal will it be when everybody you face is on some form of an equal level.
Man this is going to be a long and difficult wait! I would gladly skip all the swimming, bbqs, clubbing and summer nights of drinking for November to fucking get here tomorrow. I wouldn't mind losing a few months of my life for this game lol

There have been no system seller exclusives this gen, so don't worry yourself about it. It's Halo but pretty (not much of a ringing endorsement for the uptake of a console).
I'm keen to see this immersive story telling they've been alluding to, it could really deliver a compelling SP for me (something the franchise has lacked since make the jump to this gen).

Definitely. I wasn't really sure up until I saw the terminals from the anniversary edition of Combat Evolved but even they were immersive and extremely interesting. In a way they told a more compelling story than the main game, although that may just be because I played CE to death.
wow wow wow - and there i was almost doubting 343 but oh boy this looks insaneNESS!! This has got me as excited as I was for Halo2 - epic time awaits - loving it
