E3: Huxley trailer

In the middle of the E3 confusion we missed the availabilty of a brand new trailer for Huxley, and a good one at that. This horrible mistake has now been corrected!

nice trailer but it was 100% CGI if you say:"it was realtime" then i think you are 100% sony fanboy :))
What, have you never heard of the Unreal 3 Engine before?

Videos are so much quicker this week :)
Looks great!
I know this is live only. Does anyone know how many players it is?
Are bots included?

in each server you can have 5000 i believe. but u can set up deathmatches from anything between 2 v 2 to 100 v 100. This game should be really gd!

It's great that well see pc and 360 users playing together cross platform...

I think it's not entirely CGI because if you look in the beginning the ship that fly's over the mountains doesn't really seem to belong there actually and the part where (I think it's the huxley) show's his face, his face seems to be...umm...non CGI..well not the best CGI if it is. but it sure does look good mostly. OH and the white haired woman's hair looks a bit solid and not CGI so I think the video is more like 85% CGI ;P

I'm sure there was some touch ups, but I'm pretty sure the Unreal Engine could pull off that entire trailer in real-time. So my analysis would be 90% real time with 10% CG enhancement to make it look cleaner and smoother for the trailer.

i seen this trailer a few months back. It looked great then and it looks great now. And this was all ingame engine. Im not saying the final game will look like this because obviosly ingame engine and actually how the game will play are two different things, i mean an ingame engine can run fine without the real overheads of actualy running the game with everything implemented.

still wondering about that monthly subscription fee. any one know how much it's going to cost?
Commented on 2006-05-19 00:51:10
that was definitely in-engine with in-game assets, but not necessarily in-game. Had it been ingame (and therefore online with most assets stored server side) we wouldn't have seen that many monsters on screen at that smooth of a frame rate.

definitely gives a good idea of what the game will look like though, nice trailer.

Huxley... It's an MMOG dude. Though it's likely to be quite cheap, a handful of dollars a month, especially with XBL already,

The xbox360 version will have a single player campaign, however im sure it will suck...
But yes,you can buy it and dont have to pay a extra fee.

"How Much Does It Cost Me?

There is no infomation yet about pricing "

http://www.huxleygame.com/huxley_faq.htm

I think that translates to at LEAST 13.99 a month

whats good about live and mmorpgs is imagine topping up monthly fees is as easy as buying gamer pictures or live arcade games. Just add points and buy away lol.

was the trailer running on xbox 360 hardware or PC? I read the x360 version was nowhere close to the PC version in graphic terms, so it will be released 6 months later. Is it true?

Frozpot @Doom_Bringer: Thanks for the Shattered Horizon Pass. It was interesting, even though they could have done much more with the graphics... (19 minutes ago)

  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yeah it's brilliant. I wouldn't say it's nothing like AC1, but AC1 just seems like a bizarrely long, super early demo of 2. (2 Hours ago)
  • IRAIPT0IR
IRAIPT0IR No,the feeling not the taste XD....I played AC2 yesterday and it was awesome indeed, its hard to believe that the same team made AC1 its nothing like it. (2 Hours ago)
