The PS Vita will be a brilliant tool for level creators.

I really wanted to like LBP and played the demos for both games but I just can't stand the floaty feel, it just feels somehow...insipid and unsatisfying.

Outland, now that's how a platformer should play.

I agree, I love the whole building aspect but the actual platforming doesn't feel good to me. But can't you change the gravity in the editor mode?

in LBP 2, yes.

i like the feel of the platforming personally. less "twitchy" then a typical 2D mario style platformer, and the "floaty" movements make sense to me considering you're controlling a 2 inch tall, wool filled hessian sack. lol.

this, much like modnation just seem to have been made for the vita. they just make sense.

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Those aren't the same consumers buying consoles/console games. Those markets can co-exist. (5 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts I mentioned those games' genres because they have those mobile F2P systems designed to hook people. Pay $5 to get more Metal, Wood, Cloth, etc BS micro transactions. (6 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX No more console droughts when they're busy pushing the portables. (17 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX With the exception of abandoning one of those spaces all together, I'm pretty happy with their decision to consolidate everything into a single platform. That means a single dev pipeline for Nintendo. (18 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I don't think that mobile tower defense games are really a big threat to the console space. That's not the same market. (20 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Mobile is definitely a threat to the dedicated handheld space, but they're broadening their approach here. It's a console too. (21 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Nintendo's gaming only handheld market is never gonna stop shrinking, it may be 10-20 years from now, but one day Nintendo will quit it because it just won't be worth the hardware R&D costs x sales. (24 minutes ago)
