Looke even better then FM3 the best looking racing game so far, but from what i have seen it will probably not play as good as FM3, sad, FM3 has now fliping and all this stuff.

Looks just as good as Forza 3, but will lack the depth and size of it. Seems like a replacement for PGR, now that's laid to rest - just with racing stickers on the cars.

oh no you don't. nothing beats GT5's visual clarity. GT5 has over 500 cars@200,000 polygons each, and 16p online. the lighting model in GT5 butchers everything else. lets have Forza 3 playable, then we'll talk. and also, lets see if GT5 is shown at the latest build level in E3 tomorrow.

This game shows the same promise as the original GTR way back when. I hope they can realise their vision now they have proper funding.

I'll put my house on it not being any better than the standard setter that is now Forza 3. If anything is bettering that, then it's gonna be a CGI render. As for this so called lighting model butchering everything, no it doesn't. The lighting seen in Shift is as good as anything out there for a racer, probably even better than F3's and again, I seriously doubt anything is bettering it unless it's on a next gen console. What these games are pumping out visually is more or less at the apex of what these consoles are capable of.

It's really a shame that physics is actually the main aspect of a racing simulator.

Oh, and personally I think the Shift lighting engine is just as good as GT5's (from the prologue at least).

Shift looks awesome. The demonstration at E3 was mind blowing. You guys can yap on about "lightning models" and "200,000 polygons". The game has a sense of immersion that GT5 simple doesn't have. The cars sounds amazing and everything rattles and shakes when you go really fast. When you hit another car, you could hear and feel how the bodywork crumples on impact and the driver reacts to the G-force.

I am so looking forward to this game. September can't come soon enough!

Honestly the cars in GT prologue look amazing but the environments look bad relative to the cars and even relative to the tracks in forza 2. Balance and visual consistency is important. Shift seems to have both.

GT5P graphics are so overrated, thats it's almost sad, the only thing that looks good in GT5P are the cars, the rest is meh.

Environments are so plain and empty, very sterile absolutely no love to detail, this problem is in all GT games and don't even dare to say that im a Xbox fan as i own both consoles, actually only PS3 for now because im launch Xbox 360 died and i have GT5P.

NFS environments are so much better that it makes GT5P environments look really poor.

I dont care if GT5P has the best looking cars and even they are not much better looking the Shift and FM3 is pretty much on pair, i dont look at the car when i drive but i look at the track and environments which are really poor and lifeless in GT5P.

Right now it looks like Shift ---> FM3 ---> GT5P graphics.

Gameplay, we don't know yet, but FM3 looks very promissing.
