E3 : New Forza 6 videos

Forza Motorsport 6 is back with two more videos. The first one shows someone apparently playing with no driving aids in the wet while the second will take you in Sunny Rio on board with the new Ford GT.

Wow racing in the wet is gonna be hard as hell, surely you'll "feel like a boss" if you win those races :)

Impressive! Thanks for the videos.

This game is forgeous as in Forking Gorgeous, these visuals + 60htz + lots of cars on the Xbone = sorcery.

Anyone who loves Forza, is there a way to play the entire game on Arcade settings or something?
Commented on 2015-06-19 02:59:09
My god the guy playing is terrible lol.

The game is setup arcadey, It's up to us sim heads to change it to our liking.

Great!

Would you recommend this or Project Cars? I feel like a 60fps racer on console and was wondering which one to get.

Project Cars is not for casual racers. Get this instead.

Sweet!

Thanks, I have an itch that needs to be scratched so I guess Forza 6 will be a nice early birthday present.

Imo I don't think either is for casual racers. Both, PCars/Forza are simulations as far as driving and racing. Where PCars differs, is it simulates an actual race weekend format as a racing driver. In PCars, there's practice sessions, warmup sessions, qualifying then the actual race your building up to be in. PCars only allows tuning to real life sanctions. I don't know if you can swap different manufacter engines in Forza but you can't in PCars. The race format is one of the differences in aproach to the two games.

That's a great deal on the best racer this gen. As for Forza 6 I can't wait to see more tracks. Looks like their biggest and best Forza yet!

Sure, it is. Its not a sim or even more sim than Forza.

Rain gameplay and standing water on track looks good. I am sure there will be comparison with Pcars. TBH 16cars is enough only for long races you need more. 1 big problem Forza6 has is there will be day/night cycles so not much use of long races anyways

I like the way rain looks on the windshields of these cars...looks more natural compared to some other games. Thats how it would look in real life vs puddles of water gliding across it.

I will assume this is flame bait, however for everyone else, Project Cars is not casual gamer friendly. It's a lot, lot, lot less forgiving than Forza, and is damn near impossible to enjoy with a controller. It's got some good things going for it, and I do enjoy it, but I would not recommend it to a casual racer. If anyone here *thinks* they might like it, but isn't sure, try it before you buy it. If you want a sim-like experience with a lot of pretty visuals and sounds and unlockable cars and crap, stick to something like Forza. Or if you really just want to drive fast and run into shit rather than do laps around a track, play Horizon 2 or maybe the new NFS game.

It is possible to enjoy it with a controller. But you have to set the sensitivity for steering like you like it. At default it's way too reactive. Dial that down a big step and it feels like Forza e.g.

Assetto Corsa is coming to console in the future. and thats a pure simulation racing game. but both forza 6 and Pcars are good.

PCars is a full on Sim, For me its the much better game but if your looking for a more arcadey experience then Forza however its not an arcade title either it's just you can make the handling easy...i reckon Horizon 2 would be more ideal if your looking for arcadey!

I like Forza Horizon 2 (my only experience being the demo and the Fast and Furious Free DLC), but it was at 30fps.

Watching Forza 6 videos has made me crave a 60fps racer, and this looks a lot better than what I originally thought it'd look like, so I am just going to jump in to Forza 6 based on what you're saying.

Yeah 60fps makes a big difference for a racer!

Remember the good old days of last gen and demo's? The strides of technology.

This looks really good. Good rain effects..maybe not quite up there with Driveclub, but pretty puddles.

They've not spoken much of drivatar have they?

Global warming causes the cloud to react in strange patterns :-)

Rain, looks great. I can't believe Xboners are getting 2nd Forza game already and GT is yet to be announced. on PS4. I am pretty sure Forza7 will have day/night cycles. They play it pretty safe.

Can anyone enlighten me on what actaually falls into sim category? I keep hearing that Gran Turismo, Project Cars, Driveclub & Forza are all too 'arcadey'.

iRacing.. Assetto Corsa.. rFactor.. GTR.. But you have a lot of armchair experts evaluating these games without even playing them as well.. so I dunno.

What's up?
  • docLEXfisti
docLEXfisti Snatcher was awesome, played it on the European Mega CD (1 Hour ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Moonwalker: I agree. Other than the Metal Gear series, he didn't really present something as good. And I thought MGS5 was ultra boring (2 Hours ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus never played snatcher, but policenauts has a awesome scenario. (3 Hours ago)
  • b0vril
b0vril I never liked MGS series, but I loved 5 (3 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @Moonwalker: 2 is the best Metal Gear Solid though. (3 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Personally i find Kojima rather overrated. Yes MGS and MGS3 were fantastic, 2 wasn't nearly as good, same for 4 and 5....nah. (4 Hours ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus @jmd749: Kojima Productions is independent. wrap that and give it away to your other half. (5 Hours ago)
