Gameplay looks really fun, but the graphics are very, very hit and miss. A lot of textures and effects in those screens look awful.

This game is odd, because watching videos doesn't really blow me away or anything, but yet it looks like alot of fun.

A lot of textures in those screenshots are unbelievably low res :( you looking at them on a <6" screen?

Ok, i think they look better than average (awful?) and maybe just a bit of blur or something that will add to the overall atmosphere when you are actually playing the game. I wouldn't worry on this one.

That's definitely not blur, that's very low resolution textures unfortunately. Hopefully they'll fix them by release though.

Easily my most anticipated game this year, even more than The Witcher 2, Space Marine and Dark souls.

Is surprising honestly that a FPS is my most anticipated game because I don't like that much that genre, I even Preodered the Anarchy Edition already.

For me it looks phenomenal, art style is very awesome and the gunplay is meaty and varied with some awesome weapons.

I can't wait personally.

Maybe art direction, like a painterly watercolour effect, i don't really see what you are seeing as i find it smooth and visually appealing.

Looks good though, maybe they liked washed out low res textures highlighting and contrasting with the other parts of the game. The Last Guardian has a similar approach.
Something like Enslaved does the opposite where everything has the same level of detail and looks like an ugly confusing grainy mess to me.

Hope the PC has higher res textures like when they first revealed the game years ago

You must be really hyped for the game if you don't see any flaws in these screens. It's a great looking game, but you can't dismiss the fact that some of the textures are pretty low res. Not at all a big issue, but still apparant.

Also people forget this is a 60fps game, that is a big thing there, a low res here and there is nothing compared to the fact that it will run at 60fps.

I didn't even notice those low res, I guess I just don't care, art is fantastic and atmosphere is there.

Carmack has a few words to say on the matter :)

Its a compromise that had to be made, and Im happy as hell to know he prefered 60fps instead of cutting edge graphics, consoles can't be high end in the graphics and run at 60fps, the PCs can thouhg and they will.

So a total back track on them having made the finest textures possible in the industry that can look just as good on a PC to the iphone. Bah!
