E3: Silent Hill Origins gameplay

E3: Silent Hill Origins gameplay

Barker again, with a gameplay video of Silent Hill Origins. It was hard to feel involved in the loudness of the hangar, but the game appeared to be faithfull to the best episodes of the series, and showed a rocksolid framerate.

Wow! That looks really good! I mean sure the models are a bit basic and stuff but the mirror thing is yet another new angle for the Silent Hill universe. I love it how each entry bring something new that still very much fits with the rest.

While I doubt this treats the movie as any *real* canon (I loved the movie btw) that girl is really Alessa like.

This along with God of War and a few others is what has me thinking about getting a psp.

I'm not sure, but if they come out with another color (other than silver) in the US, I may just have to pick up another one. That video out feature is really sweet.

I'd like to say that the game was a lot more beautiful on the PSP screen than the TV we actually filmed.

The PSPslim will come out worldwide in September, in the US you'll have to pay the old price again, namely $199,99. We Europeans get the same price €169,95, it will replace the old PSP in the stores.

@ Pipo: of course, on tv all the textures appear bigger thus stretched out. If consoles like 360 and ps3 would render at 480x272, framerate problems wouldn't exist, but it'd be rather small :P.

About the game

What's up?
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Turns out everyone on that island had to survive lara from murdering them with an AK47. From fragile student, to trained military killing machine in next to no time. (2 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite What was this survival aspect they were meant to be pushing? I was under the impression from the devs that you had to, you know, do stuff to survive (2 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @Sdarts: Hated the first one, couldn't be arsed with the second. Wasn't Tomb Raider, or at least what I remembered it to be most memorable for. (2 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Sdarts: already started. Already noticing dialogue changes. (3 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @KORNdog: Yeah, really great story. Also, make sure to replay a second time, the enhanced edition has much more elements and story for the second playthrough. It's worth it. (3 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Quite frankly, I'm excited for the StarCraft Remaster. I haven't played the original in years, and even though my brother has the CDs - and DLCs - it's very old game design wise. (3 Hours ago)

KORNdog That oxenfree story is going to be sticking with me for a while. Damn... (3 Hours ago)
