In exactement a month, TopSpin 2K25 will have the responsibility to bring back tennis for a wider audience than the previous titles which came out in the past few years. Since a new video was released earlier today, here it is now on Gamersyde in its YouTube version. Driftwood2024-03-26T16:47:27+02:00Dragon's Dogma 2 via GeForce NOW Ultimate
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_dragon_s_dogma_2_via_geforce_now_ultimate-23664_en.html
Dragon’s Dogma 2 doesn't run perfectly on all platforms as even PC players seem to be struggling with the game, especially in cities where cpu load is way too heavy. We thought NVIDIA's streaming service could be the way to go for those who can't afford a recent machine, but in our experience it hasn't really been satisfactory. Of course, it might be due to our Internet connection, which is maybe not stable enough to provide a smooth experience, but it's hard to be sure NVIDIA or Capcom are not too blamed. Since Enshrouded runs like a charm with GeForce NOW, we think our connection is fine, but well... What is odd is that, with an RTX 4080, gameplay should be perfectly smooth in the countryside according to what many people say, but it hasn't been for us for some reason. Moreover, DLSS does not seem to work well with grass and small vegetation in general, giving the game a softer look than it should. Now again, when streaming a game, image quality can also be affected by the connection speed, so it should also be taken into account, but our previous testing of the service was really good in that regard so we're a bit surprised. Anyway, we wanted to share a couple of gameplay videos with you so here they are. Don't worry if you want to see the game run natively on a high-end PC, davton will soon put up his own footage, just be a bit patient.Driftwood2024-03-24T19:05:31+02:00TRAIL OUT on GeForce NOW Ultimate
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_trail_out_on_geforce_now_ultimate-23663_en.html
Back in the Xbox 360 and PS3 days, we were given quite a good number of AA arcadey games. Not all of them were good of course, but it was great to be able to try all sorts of titles. Today, as the indie scene is stronger than ever, they still exist, but racing games like TRAIL OUT are still quite rare. Some might think of Wreckfest but it had a more realistic physics engine and it could be quite challenging to control as a result. TRAIL OUT originally came out in 2022 on PC but it seems a console version will soon be released. That's why we decided to take the game for a test drive. As it features DLSS and ray tracing (shadows, reflections and RTGI) we figured it'd be a good opportunity to make a GeForce NOW Ultimate video as it's been a while since the last one.Driftwood2024-03-24T11:20:44+02:00Our videos of Dragon's Dogma 2
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_our_videos_of_dragon_s_dogma_2-23659_en.html
Now that the embargo on video content has been lifted, we can finally share some raw gameplay footage of Dragon’s Dogma 2. The reviews seem to have been pretty positive from what we've seen, but quite honestly we're not quite sure we should be happy about. Indeed, in our humble opinion, this reboot of the twelve-year-old original game doesn't really improve what needed to be apart from the visuals and some design choices don't really appeal to us. It's obviously rather subjective of course, but we wish enemies wouldn't pop up every two seconds to give us a chance to enjoy exploration. Technically, the decision not at least propose an option to lock the framerate at 30 fps is something we don't understand and we really hope a patch will allow it in the future. Resolution wise, we'd be surprised if the console versions run much higher than 1080p, which would explain the soft look. Anyway, there's still fun to be had obviously, but the game doesn't always make it very easy and it's a bit of a shame.Driftwood2024-03-22T09:00:00+02:00Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra unveiled
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_marvel_1943_rise_of_hydra_unveiled-23661_en.html
A first trailer of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra came out yesterday and it's hard not to be intrigued by Any Henning's new project with Skydance New Media. The game will run on Engine ENgine 5 and is planned for a 2025 release. It's very unlikely the final game will look as good as this, but we can only hope it will make up for the previous AAA game starring the first Avenger.Driftwood2024-03-21T20:03:03+02:00Our first impressions of Dragon's Dogma 2
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_our_first_impressions_of_dragon_s_dogma_2-23657_en.html
With all this week's releases, we haven't had time to play Dragon’s Dogma 2 much since we received our Xbox Series X code last Friday. It's also because of a lack of time that we could only record an impression video in French. Still, we wanted to share it with you in case you wanted to see the game in action today. Videos without commentary will be available tomorrow on Xbox Series X and PC if you prefer to be a bit more patient. Thanks for your understanding.Driftwood2024-03-20T16:00:00+02:00We reviewed Alone in the Dark
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_we_reviewed_alone_in_the_dark-23656_en.html
Many people were a bit worried when the return of Alone in the Dark was originally announced but it turns out the game is not bad at all, though clearly not as good as the RE series as you can imagine. Exploration and puzzles are quite engaging, atmosphere is also pretty good, but the game is a bit let down by its enemies, that are neither scary or hard to beat in normal mode. Gunplay is actually OK but it lacks feedback when hitting the monsters with bullets or melee weapons. The worst part of combat is the final boss, which made us terribly frustrated mainly because of the small arena where it takes place and the number of additional enemies it throws at you. When gunfights are not your strong suit, you don't want to end on one that leave a very bad impression. That aside, we had a pretty good time with Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood, but maybe the price tag is a bit too high. Driftwood2024-03-19T15:00:00+02:00GSY Preview Video : TopSpin 2K25
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_gsy_preview_video_topspin_2k25-23655_en.html
We were able to take part in a preview of TopSpin 2K25 a few days ago, and we were able to capture some gameplay from the PS5 version. Although the quality of the video isn't quite as sharp as usual, as we weren't using our own equipment, it will give you an idea of how the new tennis game developed by Hangar 13 will look when it's released on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on 23 April for the Deluxe and Grand Slam versions, and on 26 April for the Standard version.davton2024-03-12T13:00:01+02:00The Night Wanderer unveils itself
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_the_night_wanderer_unveils_itself-23654_en.html
Mighty Koi Studio didn't only announce Thorgal, they also confirmed the future release of the Night Wanderer, which seems just as ambitious. The game will also run on Unreal Engine 5 and it seems to mix science-fiction and medieval fantasy, which is as intriguing as it is potentially interesting. Driftwood2024-03-11T20:07:34+02:00Thorgal has been announced
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_thorgal_has_been_announced-23653_en.html
Thorgal has just been announced and as you might already know, it is based on the legendary comic series by Grzegorz Rosiński and Jean Van Hamme. It seems the devs team seems eager to compete with a certain The Witcher 4 as their game will feature RPG elements.Driftwood2024-03-11T19:51:42+02:00Xbox Partner Preview March 2024

http://www.gamersyde.com/news_nacon_connect_2024_highlights-23650_en.html
We're running a bit late with the coverage of Nacon Connect 2024 but inside you will find what we think are the most interesting trailers to remember. Not everything is to our liking mind you, but we still have high hopes regarding Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown and Greedfall 2, despite plans for an Early Access release for the latter. Driftwood2024-03-03T14:23:00+02:00Our PC video of Islands of Insight
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_our_pc_video_of_islands_of_insight-23649_en.html
Islands of Insight is presented as an MMO puzzle game, and though we're not sure the genre particularly benefits from a multiplayer component, we still wanted to give the game some video coverage. Obviously, you will only see a few of the may types of puzzles available in the game, but it should at least give you the necessary glimpse to make up your mind about it. If what you see seems appealing enough, note that controllers are not supported by the game yet. Driftwood2024-03-03T12:30:05+02:00We reviewed Expeditions: A MudRunner Game
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_we_reviewed_expeditions_a_mudrunner_game-23648_en.html
Four years after SnowRunner, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is getting ready to ship and though it's more an evolution than a revolution it's still a very pleasant game to experience provided you dig its emphasis on exploration of less civilized territories. No roads to be seen in the world of this new episode in the series, so get ready to get dusty and muddy. Driftwood2024-02-29T18:00:00+02:00Our PC video of Pacific Drive
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_our_pc_video_of_pacific_drive-23647_en.html
Pacific Drive has been available for almost a week but we were only sent our review code on Monday as we were told there had been too many requests before the game's launch. Quite logically, we haven't had time to play the game much, so we can't share our thoughts about it. The PC version seems to suffer from a bunch of technical issues whatever the config you own an from what we've heard, framerate isn't steady on PS5 either. It's a shame as we find the game's visuals quite appealing, so let's hope it will eventually get fixed. As for gameplay, we must say we're a bit tired of the whole rogue-like aspect, which can now be found in (too) many new releases, but maybe it's just us. We're a bit worried that the gameplay loop will get old a bit too quickly. With such great atmosphere, it's also a bit disappointing to see that the storytelling aspect doesn't seem very engaging.Driftwood2024-02-28T10:44:06+02:00
