Endless Ocean : wave of screens

Endless Ocean : wave of screens

Arika reveals us a little more in connection with its Endless Ocean (Forever Blue) videogame for the Nintendo Wii by showing us these new images. The more I think about it, the more I have the impression this is the Pokemon Snap of the underwater world. Anybody feels the same?

Must not spear the Dolphin, must not spear the Dolphin...

Which reminds me,

A Fsh :p

Can anyone tell me why the guy near the sea surface has a snorkel AND a oxygen tank?

I wish this game was on a real next gen console because those graphics are so ugly :(

A game similar to Africa (PS3), called AQUA (?), going to reach the PS3 in a few months... I'm quite sure...

I saw a video somewhere on AQUA(?) for the PS3. It looks like one of those screensavers that used to be popular back then. What irks me though is the people behind AQUA don't seem to have their fish right. They had freshwater and saltwater fish swimming around together in that demo vid.

I hate this cheesy Gamespot-quality news title!

This game would be cool on the 360 or PS3, that Africa game looks really interesting.

Jaggies galore, but good lighting and reflections. In motion you won't notice the jaggies as much... Probably. I wonder what the gameplay will be like?

The people that make these kind of games are lucky to even have watched a single 'nature' show, let alone actually have participated in any such activity, and god forbit they actually do some research.

Beyond the graphics, the number of objects on screen looks promising in AQUA (although I wouldn't buy a PS3 for a simulator).

As a diver, I can tell you it's actually very common to wear a snorkel while diving so you don't waste your breathing air while swimming around on the surface. (see the pics that Phaethon360 posted above)

That's just THE Tech demo Trailer, The PS EYE Gameplay shown, let us see that they visioned and produced THAT Tech, and in the end, made a fuckin fishtank Sim.

disappointment total >.<

About the game

What's up?
  • alimokrane
alimokrane @KORNdog: You can't deny it. GG are up there with Naughty Dog when it comes to technical marvel. Amazing stuff indeed. (0 minute ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog [url] it's no wonder kojima opted for this engine. (28 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @asdfg: not as much as shit encounter design does. as i say, the controls were fine, fast, responsive, accurate. it was the actual game that was the issue. (1 Hour ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Maybe the level designs or just nostalgia, but Doom was one of those games that played with my imagination back in the day. The new one just seems uninspired by comparison. (1 Hour ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @Moonwalker: Wasn't the pace. The pace was fine. I just didn't like the design of it, sonically and visually. I don't know, it just lacked atmosphere and character. (1 Hour ago)
  • AndreasZ94
AndreasZ94 @asdfg: Doom plays better than what k&b only players think. You can swap guns without the wheel showing up if you know the gun placement . The stick deadzone is very small too (2 Hours ago)
  • asdfg
asdfg @KORNdog: ok but it plays exceptional with m+kb. Of course playing a game with less optimals inputs brings down the experience. (2 Hours ago)
