WOW, visually this is a game I'm really jalous of the X360...
The look of that game is very great... I don't know anything about the story and battle system, but this game looks like some big fun! Really athmospheric... WOW...

Just grab the demo from Japanese marketplace and you will knost most about it. It's really nice and quite a bit different.

Defetively the best RPG this year far better then Blue Dragon who's just a INSERT standard RPG with Akira Yoyiama graphics.

Hmmm actually i would say quite the oppisite, Trusty Bell is a pretty typical Namco RPG, it adds nothing new to RPG's and get boring fast.

Blue Dragon kicks it in the ass, with its story, gameplay and graphics.

I can't remember where I read this, but I'm just about certain that the Japanese voice track is in fact available. Actually I think it was the new IGN preview...

Except it use a complete new battle system I yet to see in any other game, and blue dragon does not, it's very standard of everything including story and so fort. So if you think Trusty bell get tiresom fast, you should be afraid how fast Blue Dragon will tire you out.

it will tire me out just as fast as any other RPG, beat it once and never beat it again...oh wait, can u change classes in eternal sonata? so i can play with a somewhat different setup the second time like i can in blue dragon? no...oh look at that, BD automatically has more replay value than ES. and im certain BD is bigger in scope and scale than this game is ..not that im not excited for this game, but dont bash blue dragon because you like this game's style better ;)

"Blue Dragon kicks it in the ass, with its story, gameplay and graphics." Yea sure with a fighting system old as mankind itself [turnbased->waiting->boring]..
Apart from that I was definitely not impressed with BD`s grafix in the demo at all!
Storywise we`ll just have to see I guess!
Cheers
PS: Almost forgot 3 Player MP in Eternal Sonata!!! Reminds me of Secret of Mana..Oh well*sniff* Those were the days..

Game looks fabulous and these are actual native buffer grabs not uber-supersampled-bullshot downscales(tm)

But luckily the unbiased fellow at 1UP called it a "dreamcast game". Apparently I can also call all Japanese animation "Moomin Trolls cartoon" because it looks similar, comes from the same country and I used to watch it years back.

Hah that Akira is so a Moomin Troll.

The battle system in Trusty Bell is basically a culmination of elements ripped off from other JRPG's.

It's nothing special, its turn based with a timer, the characters can only ever execute 2 moves whilst on the battle field with a close and long range veriation.

This game get seriously boring after the first 10 hours, unlike Blue Dragon which i was still enjoying until the moment I completed it.

As for the guy that said the Blue Dragon demo lacked graphical flare, well isn't that to be expected from a demo ?

You have yet to see any of the main villages or Gibral City which is still one of the best examples of next gen graphics i have come across.

Looks superb... although the only problem with this (vs BD for example) is the total linearity of the game. That might go well with the story, but there's going to be the important element of exploration missing.

But then again, this is not the only JRPG on the horizon and that's just great. I even liked Enchanted Arms a lot despite its mediocre reviews.

Edit: One more thing about some free exploration, the thing I've liked about JRPGs (the few I've played) that you always have something nastier than the boss around. Don't have to kill it (or them) to finish the story, but I think it's just the best idea ever to have some challenge waiting around for those who want to go for it and maybe gain something powerful from doing it.
