I guess this game is using massive amounts of AA, or are these high-res renders? It looks way to sharp to me, not a single jaggie visable..

These are downscaled high-resolution renders. I hope the final game uses 4xMSAA, that would look nearly jaggy free, although not as clean and sharp as this.

Idk, the caliber of these graphics is extremely high. 4xAA seems out of the question if you ask me. Multi-Sampling would stress the 360 even more, but if they can pull it off, then i will be shitting bricks.

Im just basing this off of the fact that PGR3 can't do 4xAA on 720p, and that game doesnt look quite as good as this.

Most of the TD shots released earlier were like 3000 pixels wide, and when downscaled in any modern software like photoshop they are scaled with bicubic scaling by default, which is the higher form of adaptive scaling.

Hence, the actual game might not have any AA at all.

Though do not use PGR3 as an example, it simply ignores tiling and only 2XAA fits into the 10MB EDRAM at 1024x600, and NO AA at 1280x720 would fit.

It would be interesting to place bets about how late into the 360's lifespan the EDRAM will actually be made use of. Though most of these developers are ignorant in so many ways that the lack of tiling is the least of our worries.

Though I'll take native 720p with no AA and solid 30fps over upscaled mid-resolutions that run like crap.

Game is still looking sweet, I just hope they don't screw up the gameplay. On another note, Forza 2 had better have Lamborghini in it or I'm gonna be angry, and you don't want to see me get angry.

Ah, this is looking very nice. The whole level of immersion looks to match up with Oblivion, which means "somebody" isn't gonna get out much once this is released.

Enjoy some talentless f*ck trying to drive around :) I dont get why they have to put bikes on this. Why not release game earlier and skip them. Perhaps add bikes later. oh well. Still looks very intresting. Hopefully worth of wait.

If you think that is the way game development works, you know very little. Hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of work go in for some features, guns, cars, or levels that may never get into the final game. What you see in a final retail game may only represent a faction of what the dev has spent time working on.

anyway. Looks awesome.

Yes. Propably most of the car simulators had motorbikes at some point of developement. They just didn't make it to finished product? right. Thats some horrible project leading if only "fraction" of the stuff dev. team wasted time working on gets used. :DD exellent post. I know that some crappy levels, unbalanced weapons and stuff like that gets dropped, but bikes are major feature they shouldnt have even concidered. TD has allways been (medicore or bad) car racing game series, so no idea what they have been thinking whit including bikes. Perhaps they got bad project desinger like mentioned :)
