Pointing out flaws in unfinished games doesn't make you look cool. Especially when you don't know what you're talking about. Gamersyde comments are so bloody critical, it's depressing. I wish there was a way to hide all comments sometimes.

Also, surely this far into development they shouldn't have to use / mention the use of 2009 cars.
it is weird that they're STILL showing 2009 cars. surely they're in the game by now? it's a little worrying tbh.
and yeah, they do seem to have toned down the 1920's sepia filter, which is great to see. although that might be just down to what they showed. i have a feeling anything close to dusk time wise, and the world is going to get a piss stained hew. but we'll see.
visually it's impressive enough, at least in the rain. otherwise nothing really stands out imo.
They show the 2009 cars because it's still the pre-alpha build they're obviously showing.
Codemasters already sent trailers and gameplay videos with the 2010 cars at E3(and before), my guess is that they did all the dev-diaries in the same month with the 2009 cars.

I wasn't wanting to look cool, i was merely stating an opinion on the footage I had seen. I'm critical toward everything, especially licensed titles as they more often than not result in half assed attempts designed to do nothing but cash in. Also, a lack of objectivity and critical responses would result in us seeing no pushing of the envelope in any field, from graphics to gameplay.
As I said, in places it DOES look impressive, and they ARE attempting to capture all the nuances of F1 from tyres becoming dirty and (hopefully) losing grip to rain restrcting range of vision. I just think they could tighten it a bit more. I was maybe being a bit harsh with how jaggie it is, just rewatched it, it's more the cars and certain places on the tracks, like at 1:38 the railings on the multi storey building building. That coupled with the texture quality just makes it look off.
Yeah sorry I didn't mean to have a go at you specifically... There just seems to be lots of negativity in general. A lot of people seem too eager to nit-pick and find flaws.
Speaking of flaws, those tyres are way too shiny in some shots.
Ahem.
Can't wait for this game though few things I read on the forums disappointing me, hopefully 2011 version makes up for this:

no helmet designer
Career mode starts with three, five, or seven seasons, (your choice) but drivers don't change teams due to the license.
You will start Career Mode with the slower cars such as Virgin and Hispania.
There is no podium
There will be no Parade Lap
There is a XP system for car upgrades, blah.
