Fantastic visuals. On par with Animation films.

On par? They're nice, but not exactly that nice.

Yeah...no. It doesn't. Perhaps from an aesthetical perspective, but certainly not in any technical sense.

Shame this spin off game is taking so long to come out. I think after Fable Legend and now this, all real Fable fans want is Fable 4, which probably isn't coming until at least 2017 now.

@droezelke That is what the likes of Ratchet and Clank was last gen. The new reboot on PS4 will probably be even more mind blowing. This doesn't come close, especially after the gameplay they showed at E3 2014 with those stiff bland animations.

@Megido If "technical" is 1080p and 60fps and with THOSE animations, then yes Trine 2 is indeed amazing looking on PS4.

Yeah if you only look at resolution and FPS, and not shaders texture maps and poly counts, then Trine might be the superior technical feat. I don't however. Most sensible people don't. Trine achieves it's 1080p and 60 FPS just because it doesn't do anything particularly fancy with it's graphics, other than the aesthetic. Aesthetic and technical achievement aren't the same thing, i don't understand why that is so hard to differentiate.

As a reply on my own first post: What I meant was: on par with older animation films, not the latest. For example: watch Madagascar, Ice Age, ..... It looks better than that movie (I've just seen that movie).
Ofcourse the animations of the characters in the game is not as good.

Looks good. I wonder, are their any gamers here with no X1 console that is interested in the PC version?

I have an X1, but have seen the dev diary for Fable Legends on W10. It looks stunning. And it uses dx12 for increased performance. So I want it on PC.

Good to hear. Though I think both versions of the game is using DX12.

About the game

What's up?
  • Melmoth
Melmoth the arcade shadow dancer is also nice, built on the same gameplay foundations as arcade shinobi, but a bit weaker level design. i also love rolling thunder 1&2, which are also very similar (6 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth i played a bit of shinobi and kunoichi on ps2, but they are really just shinobi in name. (6 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth game gear shinobi is more like the arcade version than the mega drive ones. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I'd love some kind of real Sega revival. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I like a bunch of Shinobi games. Even the Game Gear had great Shinobi games. Also the PS2 Shinobi was too quickly forgotten. (6 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth my fav Sega game is Shinobi (original arcade). I still play it now and then. I think they have other, more recognizable and iconic characters/brands, but for me those games don't hold up as well today (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Wasn't really bashing it anyway. I love a lot of Sega stuff, and I think Shenmue is okay. Maybe a bit overrated is all. (6 Hours ago)
