That cave explosion is absolutely fantastic!!! :-O Reminds me of taking out that artillery hidden in caves in Advanced Warfighter 2 on PS3. This game still has one of the best and most intense explosions in gaming history..............IMO. :-)

Although this game looks like it will be great, there's something that just doesn't seem exiting about it's presentation; specifically the combat. I am not sure exactly what it is; audio, lighting, animations, color palette..? I dunno...

maybe when I play it, it will be ok.

Completely agree. On paper this sounds like the perfect game to me.........gorgeous, huge open world to explore, tons of vehicles, tons of enemies and animals, and lots of things to do. However, every time I see the combat, it just seems to lack any punch. I think it is a combination of the weak gun sounds and the enemy hit reactions/physics or lack thereof.

I'm still looking forward to it, but something about the combat definitely looks.......off.....

yeah, something aint clicking with me. i dunno if it's becasue of how lacklustre the second game was (despite the possitive reception, both critical and commercial) and i'm just super aprehensive about this one. or whether the world is looking too big (i really do hate driving in first person across countless miles of nothing) it just doesnt look very interesting. and yet from everything they've said, it seems to fix most of the stuff that was god awful in far cry 2...so it SHOULD be great...i'm just not feeling it yet. probably going to need a demo or rental before i really know how i feel about it.

GriftGFX FFA deathmatch is pretty fun in OW even though it's totally not balanced. Great Tracer practice. (9 Hours ago)

KORNdog The Orville episode 3 was amazing. Very heavy topic but handled it extremely well. (9 Hours ago)

GriftGFX I wasn't really setting up any specific comparison at all. I said modern phones and many PCs. That's pretty vague. You can set whatever limits on that you want. (11 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Granted.. synthetic benchmarks are just that.. but in Geekbench 4 a Snapdragon 835 can outperform a Q9550.. which is definitely faster than the E6600. (11 Hours ago)

GriftGFX My personal history of personal computing goes back to 8-bit computers. I think 2017 ARM CPUs are amazing. (11 Hours ago)

GriftGFX @droezelke: I said E6600.. and its single core performance in synthetic benchmarks is certainly comparable. But yes. You can go back to the 80s. I didn't say anything about them being modern. (11 Hours ago)
