Far Cry Instincts Predator images

Ubi released these images of Far Cry Instincts Predator, which has alot to prove after the phenomenal graphics in Ubi's Rainbow Six: Vegas and Ghost Recon AW. The water looks great, but what about the rest? The game is supposed to come out in late March, so it's time for some extra anti-aliasing. They also confirmed that the map editor is in the game, and that the much beloved multiplayer mode "Predator" will make it's way to the Xbox 360 version.
Update: Attract mode trailer added.

Joking, but I've seen them before. I think it looks very average except for the water.

They might be old (I've been away for a week), but we didn't have them in the database so I'll let them stay.

You all need to remember that this game is running at 60fps. The ONLY other shooter that runs at 60fps so far is Call of Duty 2, and this looks miles better IMO.

let's give them chanse with next far cry

I swear I can't wait until the 360, PS3 and Rev are all out. Maybe then we'll drop that stupid term NEXT-GEN, because then it will all be current. Sorry, just taking out my frustrations....

This looks ....eh....by the way. But then again I wasn't very thrilled about the original. It seemed like just another run & gun fps. I could be wrong though.

while i agree that certain aspects look better, not all look overly impressive, the water looks great but the character animation is bad....also the soldier models in the original pc version look better then the 1's in this port..and thats the truth

i will not b buying this game....for the simple reason that i already completed instincts

Maybe this will look better when being rendered on the 360 similar to doa 4. Because the jungle stage in doa 4 screens or videos looks kinda crappy, but when on the 360 its absolutely gorgeous I hope its the same for this game, but i'm still not sold on picking this one up over the other more impressive games just yet.

Maybe they'll be weighing the success of this game to see if they should bring crysis to the 360 perhaps?

Regardless of what it's being rendered on, the textures are still very poorly detailed, and the character models, as someone here already said, are inferior to that of the PC version which is quite a few years old now.

Its not a few years old, its not even 2. A few is 3 or more. Also updates they release made the game look much better on the PC so it realy not even a year old. I do agree with you though, this doesnt look so hot next to the old farcry and other 360 games even with it being rendered at 60 fps.

The cpu usage has very little to do with the graphics. Wich is one reason why I find the PS3 vs X360 arguments so funny. Even IF PS3's Cell was twice as powerful(wich it isnt, its worse) it wouldnt make games like Killzone. When it comes to graphics; memory, memory bandwidth, and the GPU are most important so it doesnt matter how much of the cpu a dev says there game is useing. The cpu is mostly for physics, AI, and other similar things.

Also how much of the cpu being used is irelevant. What matters is how EFFICIANTLY they are using that power. One great example would be Half-Life2 vs Halo for PC. On my PC I can run HL2 at max everything with hardly a hic up in sight but Halo at medium makes my PC chug. The reason is poor coding, it makes Halo very inafficiant so it requires more cpu power even though it is obviously drastickly inferior to HL2. The codeing on HL2 is well done mostly since it was built for the PC and isnt a port wich makes its complex algorithums run more efficiantly and require less power to do more work than Halo. So please stop useing terms like "next-gen", stop talking about what a dev said if you dont understand it, and stop talking about cpu usage. Sorry for the rant but there you go.
