on sports ign there is an article about fight night round 3 where it says that the boxers will have 3 million polygons..

the cars of pgr3 for example use "only" 80.000 ^^

I've updated the gallery with lower resolution for the last 3 shots.

on the last 3 pictures the textures on the shorts and boots are terrible...oh and check out the PS1 poly man standing behind the fighters outside the ring.

I'd like to see how much of that detail they can keep in once the venues start getting bigger and more background people are added. Or is this the biggest that we'll be seeing.

Also, I hope unlike the other EA games, they put more work into the characters eyes. The illusion of reality is very easily shattered when you have paste-on eyeballs.

lol i was thinking the same thing. But it must take a lot of time and patience to not get bored creating all these textures.

You gotta be kiddin'! It sucks for a game with an environment smaller then my bathroom. It is EA afterall so that explains alot. I Agree the charachters look good but if it was another developer/publisher working on it would look twice as good as that.

wow i jus had an orgasm.....and i hate EA but geez i could see the strands of hair in the guys waves.....you can see roy jones's ingrown hair bumps....even the less varied textured guys in the back looked smooth as a babys ass i mean cmon those guys look super resolutioned....but jist with a saint's row type plainess to them...maybe to generate alot of different models of course....i cant wait to see what the arenas look like oh man

YOU gotta be kidding !!! . it looks absolutely beautiful.
oooh lets start the EA bashing....not!
credit where credit is due. and this deserves some credit.

at least EA didnt just port over an xbox game (and do nothing else with it) "cough" neversoft(gun & TH AWL)

tiger woods looks beautiful and nfsmw does indeed look nice

to me it looks even better than that "ps3 tech demo " of the same game from E3 (i think)

Looks excellent. I liked Fight Night 2 so I'm really excited about picking this one up

Lighting and muscle definition look excellent, however the shorts really do look flat and badly textured.

Thx Blim.

EDIT

The last 3 shots look like they are from a recent build as everything looks generally sharper, and the shorts have improved ;)

When the video is in motion Elliot does have a point.

the gfx look good but i mean theres something wierd about it. I dunno, the colors looks really dull or like not enough contrast or something.
Commented on 2005-12-15 06:09:52
You can tell the graphics have been downgraded from the e3 demo.
Commented on 2005-12-15 06:50:55
final product is my decision. Oh yeh and E3 was a demo NOT GAME PLAY. Will someone tell me what REAL TIME realy means. If it looks good I don't care what console it's on.

fight night looked good on PS2 and xbox. So it might look good on PS3 and 360. 2 characters in a ring, that should look good. The ring has like zero rendering after it's loaded. Kinda like Prince of Persia and God of War. I call them Pac Man boards. They load and sit still. Now Splinter cell had moving screens and environments. Let see what it looks like with a high poly crowds in VEGAS, cocktail drink servers, cameras and everything. These screen are not a TRUE title fight environment.

Okay, where do I start.

Aside from animations, it looks BETTER that the E3 trailer. Compare the shot released at E3 with these carefully and it should become clear. The style is different but it is the same level.

The shorts look much better in motion.

The link is not working so can someone copy and paste the part where they talk polys.
