Oh my, those animations are horrible. It's just painfull to see such a beautiful game's immersion being ruined by those laughable animations...
anyway. looks cool and a ton faster, but it looks like it has the same problem with very weak looking punches....but at least it doeasnt look like the fight is taking place underwater like it did in round 3.
Remember the times when demo's were meant to get you to pre-order the full game, sighs.
EA: Thanks for agreeing to buy our game. Our immensely generous reward to you is giving you the privilege to play a demo... of the game you've agreed to buy.
Us: Grrr.
I wish there were demos for ALL games just like XBLA and Community Games. (At the very least after the full game has been released. I still want to play a demo of Golden Axe: Beast Rider just to see if it's as bad as the reviews say. :( )
It is exactly as I thought it will be, hit connection is pretty random.
You mean, just like real life?
Now DL the UFC demo...
True, but it holds you back from master the game. Any noob can beat a pro now.
Not much of a pro if you can't adapt to random hits. I suppose to be a true professional you have to know exactly where they're coming from because it's always a predefined animation huh? Is that what they do in the ring?
you only have to look at characters in other fighting games to see that, just like eddy gordo from tekken. his move set was random and difficult to judge, and hence he became THE noob players dream character.
They are as good as in the old days again.
All EA-games that will soon arrive are technically top notch.
When will there be a demo for all of us?!
Seriously people who preordered it dont need the demo anymore, since they allready bought the game!!
no, but that is what you do in a fighting game...add a dynamic and physics based elements and it adds a lot of unpredictability, unpredictability in a fighter is a sure fire way to end up with a button basher.

i can already see the changes they were talking about in the videos, you fight closer, there is no invisible walk blocking in the middle, you can get real close.
the graphics look great , i was looking forward to some slow motion epic punches , will there be a part 2?
can't wait for the demo to come on the market place

I'm with the old school Street Fighter crowd. You know what happens to button mashers on Street Fighter, right? As Blue_Eagle says it's not really fast enough, button mashing will undoubtedly result in you doing a crapload of blocking, then finding the correct time in which to strike back. Much like some real-life boxers, they go in all arms flailing and it gets nowhere thanks to the other guys heavy defense, then one well-placed smack from him and it's over.
