They should've done what R* did with GTAV, but then again R* probably had the next gen build ready from the start. And didn't release it on PC in 2013 just because.

sorry but if were talking about comparing the leap between the psp version of this game and the HD remaster, compared to what R* accomplished with the HD remaster of GTAV then this wins hands down. Look at the lighting for gods sake! This is not a REMAKE it is a remaster, the video demonstrates just how big a leap they have made.

you watch a video like that showing just how big a leap they made and the only thing you can comment on is the grass? You make me sick

Comapred to _PSP_. If it were not from a Publisher I would consider this trolling.

Considering that it's a full priced release i'm not hugely impressed. 60 bucks for that? Come the f**k on :P

Oh really? I don't care.

I'm not impressed with R* 'nextgen' build of GTA V either tbh. What's there to like despite the higher res textures & resolution ? Oh, a 1st person view... So nextgen ! lol

How could you miss the huge improvements to the lighting, draw distance, environmental & particle effects, A.I. variety & population, water, hell even many of the sound effects are better! There is plenty more to like about GTA V's port than just better textures & resolution...!

I mean of course it's still a port of a game built & designed for older platforms. Developers are hardly going to be rebuilding the game from scratch on a new engine for next-gen... But it still looks fantastic, even in comparison to some true next-gen titles.

And I really don't understand you last comment about 1st person. You just pooh-pooh it because it's not "next-gen"?... what ever that even means...

It's the overall look of it. It still looks like the previous gen versions, the difference being: Draw distance = increase lod value in config to match cpu, gpu & ram capabilities, particle effects = increase value, environmental effects = increase value, population = increase value, nothing to be proud of, that's like tweaking your crysis config and saying: Look here ! I dramatically improved Crysis, those idiots at Crytek couldn't figure it out. The only thing I can really agree on is water, which looks superb (improved shader + polycount). The rest is due to less texture compression and a higher resolution, but ultimately nowhere near the nextgen feel you get out of a infamous 2nd son for example. But i don't care about it anyway, it's GTA' so it's even a good thing that it doesn't look like 2nd son.

HD version looks much better than the original , I didn't expect that, why don't From Soft do the same with Dark Souls 2.

GriftGFX @Sdarts: You're right.. in "relative" terms Quantum Break has terrible performance. (41 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @Tinks: I play a variety of FPS so those kinds of differences are pretty normal to me. And "all the time"? As much as you play OW because you put some insane hours into that :P (42 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Megido: Absolutelly agreed on! But Suikoden 2 is on the same league as Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6, they are some of the best games ever made. (1 Hour ago)
  • Megido
Megido @Sdarts: 5 was better, but not on par with 2. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Same for other games as well. Even a GTX 980 has problems with many modern games. And on smaller cases, even GTX 980 Ti as well. I'm sure a GTX 1070 can handle it - with upscaling turned on. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @droezelke: It's relative, because the GTX 970 isn't what it used to be and is over 2 years old. Not even Rise of the Tomb Raider sustains 1080p@60fps at Ultra settings with a GTX 970. (1 Hour ago)

droezelke @Sdarts: still bad performance (1 Hour ago)
