We are a bit late with this one, but here is the TGS trailer of Final Fantasy XV. Take the E3 trailer, add a few 1-2 seconds scene, and behold, a new trailer! Still, it doesn't look bad.

Hopefully yes. Turn based combat can be very good, but old school RPG combat severely lacks in the strategy department. I play games like FF Tactics and love them, Civ is awesome and so forth, but i mean...FF7-ish combat? No thanks, it's just slow, clunky and boring. I much prefer a more action based system to that.

Nope, I like it as well and I know a lot of people who do so too.
But the reality is that it's getting harder and harder for those type of games to profit, considering it's something akin to drama movies vs. action movies, which is why companies mostly make "Action-RPGs" now than "old-school RPGs", except for handhelds.
Oh wow the frame rate in the gameplay portions of this trailer are much better than in the E3 trailer. I've never been a real fan of the FF series but this has me pumped up. Maybe it's the music. But it's also exciting seeing those guys try to evolve their games.

Few slight differences from the E3 vid, but, still SUPER excited for it...it feels like square is looking to bring back it's glory in a big way...here's to hoping!
Huh...I just found the quote where it was said it was developed in a PC environment and would be released on platforms that best support DX11, but no word of a PC version. TBH, the graphics don't need to be mind blowing for me to love it, as long as they can put together a great story and some fun gameplay I'm sold. I miss the open world environments of the FF's of past...hopping on chocobos and airships to fly around. I do like that they're evolving to a KH style combat system with active dodging etc. I still love my turn-based combat...but I've always liked the idea of an open FF.
