Xbox 360

UBI released this image, taken from a forum, from Brothers in Arms 3. Do I have to say it looks superb? According to OXM, the image is in real time from the in-game engine.
Update: Image taken down after UBI's request.
Update 2: Image released officially.

yea does look good...but youve got to remember the ony reason there is another ww2 shooter on the market is because they will sell, if they didnt they wouldnt be made .

look at realy original games like beyond good and evil, rez, ico great games but didnt sell well .

ubisoft is a trustful developer - if they're saying it's realtime than you COULD believe them

taken from the engine != "in-game"... let's see that running at a decent frame-rate

Because the texture mapping isn't good enough to be a render. Look at the guy that's close up... his teeth and shirt in particular. Nice job Ubi.

Looks in game possible to me. The lapels on his shirt- the hard edges on his nose... the bland background architecure... Not that I'm knocking the shot- it looks amazing. But yea, it also look totally possible 'in game'. Unlike Killzone that caused the doubt in everybody's mind (which... those 'believers' were idiots), this doesn't have a billion and one things going on- thus a billion and one tell tale signs.
I'm not saying this is an ingame shot- but it does look very possible.
And as was stated- it's from Ubisoft and they've never been much for putting out images they can't deliver on *ahem- Sony*.

It's not "in-game". The article says they (OXM) were shown this running in real-time using the in-game engine. In other words, like the MGS4 trailer, and like that, the actual game should look pretty much the same minus some effects (wouldn't make sense to have the background be out of focus, since you wouldn't be able to see enemies over there).

And as others have pointed out, when has Ubisoft not delivered?

even though it's a FPS and you won't see your enemies up close very often - they're more detailed than some characters in CG-movies of the previous generation

Not quite; I'd say almost as good as the faces in fight night, but in all fairness, FN3 only has two people to render. http://img.gamespot.com/gamespot/images/2006/016/9...

Uh...it's only a level up from call of duty 2. Surely we can believe that is possible. See for yourself: http://img.gamespot.com/gamespot/images/2005/271/r...

I am surprised that this hasen't been held back graphically for the PC version just like COD2 was. This must mean that it will not be out for a while, probably winter or early 07.
