LOL, Halo, jetpacks?

Halo didnt come up with jetpacks, even Killzone Liberation had it.

So if anything, Killzone 3 is returning the jetpack feature from Killzone Liberation, not because Halo Reach.

I hope Killzone 3 fixes some of the issues KZ2 had such as movement (I doubt they will do much about it) and the levels of MP and "Assault class" which sucks!

Leonidas300: Ever played Killzone: Liberation to PSP (released 2006)? There was jetpacks already in that game, so it's only logical that it's implemented in a stationary Killzone game.

Maybe you should check facts before you comment...

Just you.

Killzone 2 didnt look good in screenshots but great in motion.
Atleast, for now, Killzone 3 do look good in screenshot, probably fantastic in motion.

I am SUPER glad that they are going to have arctic levels.
With the special effects GG does like lightning storm, winds and dust...etc. just an overal atmosphere, I can only imagine how it would be like with a snow level :D

This only means brighter levels and cooler (I like snow :P)

jetpacks are used in the universe before, so i don't see the connection with "following the lead", eh.

Looks like the second one with snow added, who would guess? Just like Gears 3 looks like the second with more colour added. Whoopie f- doo, sequels these days. So exciting.

i think the jetpack pic looks worse but then there isnt much to see other then sky, the rest look on-par with the second. ign preview had some good info tho, the melee attacks sound brutally awesome. and the scale and HD sound make it seem like it's going to be better then the second in every way. and with naughty dog helping them out (no doubt with the snow tech then had in uncharted 2 and general presentation improvements) then i think this is going to be a seriously awesome looking and playing game.

i can't wait.

And besides... if KZ3 doesn't change the inherently wonky and broken controls from KZ2 and not even considering this game as an option for 2011. Never finished KZ2 because of its controls!

have you seen the REAL console screens of crysis 2...it doesnt look as good as its PC counterpart, not even close. so i wouldnt assume much based on what we've seen...unless of course you are talking about the PC...but who cares about the PC nowadays?

i dont agree..those that have yet to take the jump into HD tv are less likely to take the LEAP into the at present over priced 3D TV market. I think they're far more likely to invest in HD tv's now that the prices have come down and the quality of them are better...especially given more and more channels are now finally HD tv supported, and even freeview boxes are HD tv supported now. 3D is a few years off yet for being viewed as anything but a "gimmick" for the extra price.

I agree.. the 3D stuff sounds like it adds alot to the experience. But hardly anybody that invests in this game is going to get that experience...so the gambles there for very little pay off. I simply think it's too soon to be pushing resources for AAA titles on 3D at this point.

And I am sorry, but based on my experience with Crysis, I'd opt for more Reach beta over Crysis 2.

If someone has shattered expectations due to sequels not looking a lot better than he had hoped(especially based on some early screenshots), I really can't help but feel it's his own fault and not the devs'.

I'm sure I will have 3D HDTV until May 2011 (KZ3's supposed release date) that's why I'm hyped about it. Besides, I witnessed Motorstorm in 3D not so long ago in SonyStyle Store. Expierence is simply amazing! It's nothing like in cinemas. It's much better. And buying HDTV without 3D now is silly IMO. Especially if you're a gamer. You can't afford it then be patient and wait a little more. Hell, I'm sure next Wii will be 3D capable too. 3DS gives a hint where Nintendo is going with their R&D.
