Electronic Arts also released these first two images of NBA Live 2008, showcasing the players modeling.

wow...wonder how it will look with the camera pulled back during gameplay....up close they look absolutely awesome.....lets hope there is more consistency and throughout all the players, not just some looking awesome and the rest looking pretty average

Kind of ironic Gilbert is on the cover, since he trashed the live franchise and said he preferred the 2K series more. Money has a way of changing ones opinion I guess :p

I wish game devs would stop releasing these useless close-ups for sports games. WHO CARES that I can see a players pores??? Show game-play shots.

And they go as soon as you zoom out, they did this for all their previous 360 games if you hadn't noticed.

Yeah yeah this game always looks superb and detailed but they always fail to deliver on gameplay compared to 2KSports titles.

ah sure... this screens look incredible, but the final game will suck in gameplay and animations, like every ea sports game.
2k now is the best in this sector.
I'm waiting to have nba2k7 on ps3!!!

EA always has very nice graphics when they announce a game but later the game looks not even half that good.

Twice as many players, waaaaaaay more animations and a far larger play area/stadium means that won't happen.

Plus Konami put gameplay ahead of presentation and graphical splendor anyways.

What I find interesting is that texture resolutions are getting high enough to where you can see flaws in the way the images were captured and generated. Just look at the posterization all over the first guy's skin.
