The comment about the Pirelli tires is so true but F1A asked Pirelli if they could provide these tires on purpose. So the tires are not the best Pirelli can offer.
They are purposely manufactured to "degrade" the way they are.
People, don't be fooled on this game. Codemasters has not supported either of their F1 games the way they should. They left 2010 broken and 2011 even though it had two patches was also left broken.
I watch all the races, I am a big fan but Codemasters is not up to the job in my opinion.
I have to say I *really* liked 2011. The gameplay is really awesome, good mix of arcade and sim, reminds me a lot of that sweet feeling of other racing games like PGR2 back in the day, Rallisport. Could it be improved? Sure, I hope they do.
I think they have to do a lot on other things outside of the handling of the car too. Graphics wise, this looks to be a lazy upgrade though, so that lone lowers hope for anything else. It's looking like an EA sports game year over year, update the roster and call it a day.
Then F1 2011 comes out and it has the same pit glitch that they corrected in F1 2010 via update. The most absurd glitch in 2011 was the one where you change the suspension setup to the hardest setting and the car becomes attached to the tarmac, shaving off a LOT of seconds per lap. They end up correcting that stuff by updates and patches and that's why I'm gonna wait till its cheaper. Then I'll be able to play the complete version of the game from the get-go :)
On the official forums for F1 2011,(have to search as those threads are old) you can find a game breaking bug, where if you played a certain race length, you would put a set of tires on in practice, come back in to see another set of tires that were not used had wear on them.
The bug was reproducible, as I did it myself. I just can't remember exactly what race length was to produce the bug. It was awhile ago.
Anyone that knows even a little about F1, knows how this can affect your race strategies and definately is a broken feature in game and it was left that way.
