Activision has made this weekend worthwile, showing the first trailer of Call of Duty 4 during this mornings american NFL program. The game will go under the name Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, so by hearing that you're hopefully not expecting to see any Panzerkampfwagen Tiger tanks in the trailer. See it all inside!
Update: 60 fps version of the trailer available. Watch it with a very powerful PC, or on your console!

no but seriously, if this is mostly in-game it surely looks stunning!
seems like the best of cod and graw and splintercell combined.
and it`s NOT ww2 ;)

looks promising! despite being blatant us propaganda, but what wargame isn`t ;)

duuude, CoD + refreshments = possible greatness. :)

I'm very happy about this move. Although, I'm not the first to say that there shouldn't be more WW2 games, I'm glad they're moving to a new direction. Hopefully they won't try to go all battlefield, though. I'd want them to stay true to what made the franchise so good in the first place, but of course some additions wouldn't hurt either. ;)

The trailer was too fast we could barely see what the game looks like. mixture of CG and ingame for sure but way to quick to see anything. looks good though.

Animations look amazing, textures are mediocre, gameplay will be great. It's about time for a modern shooter, can't stand WW2 any more.

I dont any of that was CG, The game looks awesome though, i'm also glad its not WW2, this is gonna be great!

Although I am excited about the game because I believe this will do to Modern Combat games what CoD1 did to World War games, I still don't find this trailer very exciting :(

And I can't get the Extended version from http://www.charlieoscardelta.com because they won't send a Confirmation mail (other people are having problems too) so if anyone got the extended version, upload it please.

But yeah as I said, this trailer = Meh although it shows some awesome gameplay features like how the tank crashes that car and the animation seems very rich, not the mention the usual CoD style chaos.

Finally!!! i mean CoD is like the best cinematic FPS experience ever!! and now they'll move it into the ´modern day.. This is going to be huge and also hasen't Infinity Ward always used in-game trailer footage? And these are the guys who did CoD2? RIGHT?

Yes Infinity Ward never use CGI. Only Treyarch do that, for example the Big Red One TV spot and Call of duty 3's first trailer.

kinda shocked me.

Seeing a call of duty game without germans!

no world war 2 setting..wow ( i miss it though..i mean, it's call of duty!)

Doesn't look as graphically awesome, seems like an improved COD3 engine. ( I blame that image of a war game by codemasters!)

I'll wait and see for more gameplay footage before getting this.
