Microsoft started the Xbox 360 advertising campaign with this strange but not so bad one minute video for the cinemas.

mmmm that's your opinion, i really don't like most of the playstation commercials, on the other hand some of MS's commercials are rather funny, for example the guy getting born and flew right out of the window to his grave, then the text appears: "live is short... play more" thought that was pretty funny...

Playstation ads are no better, especially those David Lynch ones.

^true. and who ever said ps ad's are good is one strange guy. i mean they are some of the worst i have ever seen as they seem to have nothing to do with anything. this ad is ok to good as it sucks you in a bit with out being to abstract(like Sony). but having said that the original xbox ad's were much better. the one with the insects was cool and as mentioned the baby one(although that got banned in the UK :) )

Not bad. Though it's too bad that their best commercial was the first one for the xbox and that they've never made anything better.

i think its genius irs not meant for us its to target a broader audience which they have succeeded...the commercial draws you in and makes you wonder wow how are they doin that yet at the same time is simple and friendly. These are only the startout commercials believe me right before launch hardcore game visuals will make up the commercials.

America developers and pr people ad more for black people now,since they know its the smallest group and already got the white people.

i think microsoft advertising can be kinda cool - they seem to go for the comedy/strange advertising that makes you mention it to a friend the next day which is the purpose i guess

as for playstation adverts - i dont see any in the UK - only playstation things i do see is when they sponsor the Champions League football

I think the add is cool.

Also adds are starting to appear in the UK already. Not any for the actual system but I have seen several add for multi-platform games which include the xbox 360 logo at the end.
