Video Xbox 360

Many of you guys (2, to be precise) clamored for a 60 fps version of our Fujimi Kaido video from last week's Forza Motorsport 4 event. There you have, and you even get better colors too!

Looks awesome. Amazing that you can tell in 2 seconds that it's 60 fps.
Me myself...I find the difference between 30 en 60 very noticeable

What's with the tree reflections "popping in" on the car's roof? (0:58-1:02, probably more) Is this supposed to be a near complete build?

Also, favorite track ever.

I like how the AI just rams the player multiple times as if he's not even on the track, does a great job of replicating the online Forza community for the singleplayer experience.

Graphics look really nice though, especially the foilage. It seems that Turn 10 finally learnt how to make 2D trees not look awful, which does wonders for a track such as Fujimi Kaido.

Fujimi Kaido looks really nice, but I don't like that yet another track is recycled. Turn 10 could have found a new location. There are some graphical upgrades and some new gameplay mechanics, but it still feels like the game will be Forza 3 like it should have been with so many tracks recycled.

great to see more stuff on forza 4 but I have to say that as far as video capture quality goes, this does not measure up to the insane 60 fps videos posted near the release of Forza 3. I was hoping for something similar as I think this site has posted the best ever video captures ever.

Forza is not a racing simulator, neither is Gran Turismo or Shift.

That seems rather snobbish of you.

What makes other actual racing sims more simmish than FM or GT?

Forza is a racing simulator, it simulates the real life cars and tracks and the main objective to the game is to race. Whether or not the game includes flags or any other racing league rules doesn't stop it from being a racing game.

agreed, there are full on racing sims on the PC namely iRacing and rFactor but to sayforza or GT are not racing sims is a bit harsh, ok so there are no flags or saftey cars, no qualify laps ect but they do have realistic handling, its a sad fact that some people have to resort to fanboy brand defending but for everyone else we will enjoy the final product and an endless stream of patches.

I think they always update at half the framerate in forza games.

Anyway, other than the car reflections, is it just me or are the side and rearview mirrors running at a lower framerate too.

nope just you, when i played this at gamefest the mirrors and reflections ran at the same rate only in replay mode does the frame rate drop and this isnt isolated to forza GT5 does exactly the same during replays.

If I remember correctly replays always run in 30 fps in Forza because the lack of needed player input.

the guy driving/playing in the video SUCKS! He knows he sucks, but tries to drive perfectly following the lines, and that is why he sucks even more. If you are not so good, at least play trying to compensate that, and stop adding more difficulty to yourself.

This is the best graphics I ever seen on consoles.

The amount of detail is just too insane to even other developers try to make something on this level.
