Wow that season pass thing is just ridiculous. It won't be long until you buy games in episodic format like TV shows.

I love how they are able to justify bringing out expansion packs for a price after the game is released before they have actually put the game on sale! its not like "oh we couldnt fit the content in (didnt even try)" to " lets milk this cash cow"

Not that I like racing games (comes from not being ANY good at them whatsoever) and being no Graphics whore I can still admire this game (and franchise) for what it brings to the genre. Excellent gaming and stunning visuals!

Getting as much cash as possible out of games is the main priority of the big boys of the gamingindustry nowadays.. They do not really care about the games itself or us gamers anymore, aslong as it sells as much as possible.. These companies are not run by people that like games anymore but by buisinessmen and shareholders that are only in it for the money.. The only thing they respect and want of us gamers is our money.. For example, that they split communities etc is simply less important then making that extra buck..

The disrespect towards gaming and gamers of their buisinessmodels shows most with the most popular games that have sold very good already, covering all costs and then some, but also offer the most and most expensive DLC.. Instead of saying we made enough already so lets reward the gamers that bought our game, they abuse the popularity by taking even more of our money..

I still play these games because I cannot resist them, but I lost most love and respect for especially the publishers a long time ago.. It's even gone sofar I don't mind people pirating stuff.. Love and respect must go both ways.. As much as I like FM4, them talking about 7 premium DLC packs even before release is simply rediculous.. I don't look at it as cool extra content, I look at it as having to pay extra again after I already bought the game..

This Season Pass is a cheaper way to purchase DLC if you have the plan to get'em anyway on the long run. people need to spot the differences.

Sure this goes into the "DLC planned from the beggining to milk the cow" but all publishers now do this as a standard so times a-changin.

Seriously, people... if you don't like it, don't buy it. Quit bitching. DLC shows they give a shit about the game enough to make additional content for it, instead of just shipping the game and laying off the staff. DLC is NOT some sort of easy cash-in. It takes a lot of time to make additional content and make it work.

If you don't like it, vote with your wallet and don't buy it. If it's more than just you and your forum buddies bitching, then it'll make a difference and they'll stop doing it.

But believe me, I do vote with my wallet.. I buy very little DLC if at all.. For FM4 I will only spent extra cash on DLC if it offers a car or cars I really cannot resist.. I certainly won't waist my money on some sort of Season Pass.. That's just another smart buisinessmodel, selling a subscription on DLC and make people think they are better off that way because of the discount.. They most likely calculated that will people spent more money then when they have to buy everything seperatly (because most people never buy all the packs)..

Whatever. I usually don't buy DLC. I love how everyone wants every game to have endless amounts of content, but they don't want the game to cost more despite how much it costs to make. Don't have to buy it. It's not like the vanilla game doesn't have enough content to warrant the price.

And don't give me this love and respect crap. Gamers will bitch about being "stabbed in the back" at the tiniest suggestion that a dev wants to change the formula. Here is how it works- they make a quality product you want: you buy it. If they don't: you don't. The second devs do something the little tyrants don't like, they abandon that dev.
