i am thinking i should wait for the GOTY edition before taking the loan out that would be required to buy all these DLC packs. It's funny but if you tally all the dlcs you essentially pay more with there fewer tracks and cars than you do for the full game.

I got back to some F4 last weekend, such a brilliant game.

I do believe the R18 should have been included in the original game, instead of the new DTM audi with 4 or 5 liveries...
But it's nice they include it now, along with the amazing rally version of the original quattro!!! Plus, that challenger does look evil. :D

No sure how you work that out? The season pass is only 2400 points which is £20.50 compared to £40 for the game.

They most likely did not have access to the R18 during development of the game.

the game no longer cost £40 you are shopping in all the wrong places if that's the price you get.

Most people that will play Forza 4 like myself have already bought it so the DLC did not cost more than the game.

The problem is ppl are not seeing problem what is going on. It looks like game is 100$. 60$ retail then next 4 months 10$ for each DLC. Why would they even try to include all the content on disk when they can ask more via monthly DLC.

How do you think they keep games at 60 bucks? Games were 50-70 bucks in the early 90's and dev costs are exponentially higher now. It's not like the core game doesn't have a shit ton of content.
The real thievery happens with those subscription MMOs, IMO. 15 bucks a month... Yeah...

I noticed, that you get at least 1 car for free while the rest of the pack remains locked, so you can still play with others who purchased the full pack. (That was the case until Jan., did not check after)

I can do math also, you can currently buy the game for $40 used on Amazon.

$40 + $30 for season pass = $70, not quite $100....The difference is that you are not required to buy the new DLC to keep playing Forza 4, in fact you can download everyone for free and get a car out of each pack for free. This means you can continue to play with your friends online who own the DLC and see their cars without having to purchase it yourself.

Unlike games like GoW that require you to own new DLC to even access some online features in matchmaking like Horde mode...

With a MMO you are paying for a game that constantly updates over time, that money goes toward further development of the game which is most of the time free. Some games like Star Trek Online even do this for free, however some of the content you might want in the game is sold on the store and some features require the subscription.

its unfortunate but the idiotic morons will continue to go on about paid dlc, even GT5 has dlc that by the way will cost nearly £20 to buy, not sure about dollars but ill hazard a guess at around $35 though it may be less, this is for all the DLC packs as the full pack only covers DLC upto the 18/10/2011, car pack 2 and 3 and the speed test pack costs in total £11.17.

right as ive now got that out of the way lets now start on forzas DLC, the season pass only cost 2400msp which translates to around £19 for that you get 6 months of car packs for no extra charge and so far to date (not including the febuary content) there are over 70 new cars, with the febuary pack that bosts it to over 80 cars and when the pass expires (i got the season pass) we will get/have over 100 additional cars.

now like its been said by so many why do some feel the need to go on about paid content saying its a rip off ect while no one is forcing them to buy it, or this content could have been included they just want to make everyone pay more for it and like its also been said the cost of producing these game's has gone up, hasnt anyone noticed just how many game studios have gone bust in the past 5 years, here are just a few "Bizzare creations" the team behined the PGR racing games, "Pandemic" just after the Saboteur, didnt get high reviews by many which is a shame as the game is actually very good, and many more i just cant think of them right now.
