Four more for WRC 4

Four more for WRC 4

WRC 4 will be available by the end of this week on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Playstation Vita, which is probably why Milestone just released a few more images of the game. We would have loved to show you the new video as well, but Bigben Interactive decided to follow the new trend and do like some other publishers by only proposing a YouTube version, which we never use for obvious reasons. In case you hadn't noticed, a trial version of the game was released a few days ago on consoles and, oddly enough, the PS Vita version seems to be the most fun of the three.

Yeah, you should clearly leave, we're so full of shit.

I'm not saying you guys are "full of shit." I'm 99% of the time very happy with the content you deliver. But you have to admit that there is some irony in that statement considering it's posted right above another post containing a, let's face it, very poor quality video.

What do you want me to say? Should I burn Game2k alive for posting it? Should I throw myself off a bridge for not checking out that video myself while I'm on vacation? If it's any consolation, the YouTube version of that video is way worse. Finally, why don't you blame the publishers instead of our newsers?

I don't understand why you're being so defensive. I'm merely pointing out that a bad video got through the cracks. You're right. Publishers make bad videos all the time. But I've grown accustomed to gamersyde being able to weed out the crappy ones and provide its visitors the good stuff and it was surprising and a bit jarring to see that that sort of video made it to the site. There's nothing wrong with graciously accepting constructive criticism you know.

We don't use Youtube, sure, because we care about video quality. When a publisher releases a video which hasn't a great quality but that is still better than its Youtube counterpart, we share it nonetheless because it's better than nothing, right? Otherwise we would be making much less news. If we don't allow official videos that are under a certain amount of bitrate, the last months Gamersyde would have been about just a few news for BF4 and BioShock Infinite, aside from our home made videos.

All Driftwood is saying is that we are not creating the content for the publishers, so we can't be blamed for that. Again that Batman video is still better than the Youtube one (we didn't encode it, that's the file released by WB), that's why I put it online. We don't always have time to watch a video in its entirety but I promess next time I'll try to to mention if the quality is not that great. What you can be sure though is that Gamersyde will always provide better quality than Youtube.

Sorry you were disappointed.

Could just use Vimeo.

I like how Gamersyde likes to brag about being above Youtube grade videos but then posts that horrible Batman AO video...
Well... there was some cynicism in your comment so maybe phrase it better.

Was there a compression issue with the Batman video? It fell under the quality bar you guys set. Was there a reason for this?

It would also be better to have commented on that video or maybe send a PM? Please dont take this as me being an ass.

Vimeo is a mixed bag. I think they also dont allow game type content, i think. They did have a youtube channel but there content was being stolen and somehow youtube took the side of the person stealing... So both still need alot of work.

The game is weak (WRC4, not Batman AO). Has no thrill like old WRC or CMR games had. There's zero vibration except when u hit brakes or turn, like WTF man, this is a rally, no smooth ride! Was really hoping it imporves over WRC3, but it's a dissapointment.

I didn't mean for it to be taken in that context. But I see how it could have been misinterpreted.

not new at all, just what the F does batman have to do with WRC4, wish people would take petty arguments to the forums than spam these pages with it.

About the game

What's up?
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @Sdarts: The Division sure didn't do that for us. Have not played the latest DLC though. (26 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts A lot of times, co-op can turn a boring single player campaign into a very fun one. More often than not. (30 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Moonwalker: If you're playing with friends or, to a certain degree, even with strangers, then most missions might not feel like a "bore". (30 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker As for Ghost Recon, it's not that I dislike everything about it but I don't know about that open world. How many of those missions until it becomes a complete bore? (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Ah yes I look forward to Little Nightmares as well. Looks really cool. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Still have plenty in my backlog too, such as Witcher 3 and the two Fallout 4 DLC s and more. If I had a PS4 I would look forward to a lot. But that's the thing I doubt I'm getting one this year. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker indication. If Rockstar doesn't delay it I look very very forward to RDR2. I'm not sure what other third party titles are planned? (1 Hour ago)
